The character's sexuality is one of many reasons why she's interesting. Besides being sexually insinuating, she is also a good telepath, a strong and reliable leader, a good strategist, a so-so brawler due to her secondary mutation and deliciously sarcastic.

Of course, they could choose to portray her only through her breasts. We never know it with these hollywood marketing guys.

She's more than just some ****. She's a powerful psychic and she's always changing sides, making her character interesting. With Xavier and Jean's absense the movie is need of a psychic. I'd rather her be introduced as a villain at first and possibly have her join the team in a later sequel or spinoff.

Emma is just ****ty? Lol, you've NO idea what you're talking about. Like stated above, her sexuality is just one part of her complex character. Granted, it might attract some randy teenagers to the comics, but Emma's character is so much more than that.

Yeah well Jean's rotting and Storm looks like a bull dyke with that hair so Emma is looking pretty good right about now.

Emma's more of an attention wh0re than a skank...underneath all the posing, she's insecure as hell. She flashes her tiddies everywhere because she feeds off the attention...she's more like a tease. She'll drop something on purpose, bend over right in front of you, then laugh at you when she catches you thinking you'll ever have a chance with her. I actually love her character...underneath the implants, bleached hair, bravado and fake English accent, she's a diamond that's very flawed. I think she'd be great on screen, I just don' t think her name could carry a movie by itself.

Emma is a brilliant character and an awesome parrallel to the goodie goodie Jean (you know what I mean...not Dark Phoenix).

I personally think Angelina Jolie would make a great Emma, she's got that perfect balance of sexuality and brain power.
