Sequels Who would you cast as Emma Frost in X-Men 4?

Been thinking about this after I saw a youtube fan made vid of emma and cyke which casted Ali Larter as Emma. I almost threw up. The actress who played Emma was okay in X-Men Origins but really its hard to have an opinion on her as the film took place when Emma was alot younger. To me Finola Hughes is STILL the bench mark and a high one at that.Although the Generation X movie itself sucked big time there was one thing that stood out about it and that was Finola. Her portrayal of Emma was flawless and in the same league as Patrick & Ian's portrayal of Xavier and Magneto. I Can definitely see her butting heads with them and squaring off with Famke. Plus I strongly believe Emma should be played by a Brit like Finola was with a respectable theater background. When I see all these videos made casting post american teen flick stars like Ali as Emma it makes my me scream. If they ever do another X-Men movie I think they should go looking for Finola first. If Bryan had done X3, I think Sigourney Weaver would have looked too old so I'm glad she was left out of Ratners versions. Plus like I said I really think Emma should have an authentic British accent What do you guys think?

The question is not about when, its about who the actress should be for the future ones. Why would you not cast her anyway? They've opened up the phoenix bag in 2 and 3 so its important that she appeared in the fourth

No. The question was *specifically* who would I cast as Emma in X-men 4. I would not have her at all, therefore I wouldn't cast anyone.

I never personally saw what was so great about her. I doubt people would be so interested in her if she didn't look like a blonde-haired, blue-eyed expensive hooker. Sorry.

Uma Thurman would have been a great Emma to Famke's Jean but seeing as Jean seems done and Cyclops too I dont think she is needed.
But either Uma or Ali Larter.

1, the acting talent 2, she has the look-hair, eyes, body 3, can play the villain (so important) 4, has action film experience martial arts and special effects (Kill Bill/My Super Ex...) and 5, would fit in the age range of the core X-Men cast

What else has Uma been suggested for? I've only ever seen/suggested her for Emma Frost, please tell me because you make it seem like everyone on the hype is suggesting her for every role possible, and I dont think thats true at all.
And no one has said she is the only person who can be Emma in fact I also said Ali Larter and I am aware that there are more, so calm down.
And if you look at Emma's latest costumes she doesn't look like a hooker. There seems to be some tension between you and Emma did she steal your man too?
But Like I said she works best when Cyke and Jean are present. So I'm not too anxious to see her in the movies, I would rather Psylocke, done right.

I think the line written by Grant Morrison in which Emma identified herself as being in her 20s was taken far too seriously by subsequent writers and artists. I MUCH prefer Emma as a very well preserved mature "cougar" type. Adding an extra dimension to the Cyclops/Emma pairing.

Bryan Singer's plan to bring in SIGOURNEY WEAVER was in the right direction for the movie franchise casting her as a female peer/counterpart of Xavier.

My pics for actresses with the look and acting chops to pull off Emma (esp a Morrison era Frost) and be believable as a headmistress of an academy...

NICOLETTE SHERIDAN (Desperate Housewives) - I can hear her selling the line "I'm going to have myself appraised" after her secondary mutation manifests.

NICOLE KIDMAN, already an ice queen.

and my top pick...SHARON STONE. I really think she could play the hell out of the role of Emma. When I read the panel of Emma cradling Esme as she dies tenderly proclaiming her pride in Esme for becoming a true femme fatale, it is Stone's voice that I hear.

She's probably one of the best choices IMO. She has that gorgeous, cold look to her. Sure she isnt an AMAZING actress, but shes good enough. ANd she can definetly play this role. She can totally play manipulative, seductive and decieving. Not to mention she looks the part.

She's probably one of the best choices IMO. She has that gorgeous, cold look to her. Sure she isnt an AMAZING actress, but shes good enough. ANd she can definetly play this role. She can totally play manipulative, seductive and decieving. Not to mention she looks the part.

In my opinion Ali is a damn fine actress. Season 1 of Heroes her plots may have been annoying, but just by the twitch of an eyebrow or the curve of her lip you could tell which of her two personalities was in control. She sold the multiple personalities thing VERY well.
