I rented 'Date Movie' because the TV spots looked funny, god what a piece of donkey $hit, this movie is the worst of all the spoof movies.

The only funny bit I laughed at was the Jinxers cat taking a dump.

I love spoof movies....a lot...but goddamn!

Recent efforts have made them just another schtick in the big MTV wheel.

EXEC 1: "Hey, we got a new batch of movies out this year, how many spoofs can we get?"

EXEC 2: "Durrrrr....3 or 4..."

EXEC 1: "Make it so."


Last 2 I saw that I liked were Not Another Teen Movie and Scary Movie, and after that I think the genre died.

This type of flick has a pretty narrow audience anyway. It's not the type of movie you wanna try to milk, cuz they aren't a cash cow anyway.

I'm hoping Dave Zuckers Superhero! is awesome. That's the one I'm waiting for.

I have to say the only good spoof i've ever seen is Don't be a Menace and even that seems worse each time I rewatch it. Spoofs just aren't funny.

Here is what I don't get. Why are they spoofing Nacho Libre, The DaVinci Code, Borat, and other movies in something called Epic Movie? It seems the only "Epic" they are spoofing is Narnia. They aren't even doing Lord of the Rings. It should just becalled "Popular Movies of the Last Year Movie"

And hiw is Matrix Reloaded a "scary movie"? They do this crap all the time.

I don't know why I rented this...but I did...and I wish I didn't. How can u spoof Epic movies...but not put in LOTR. I will admit...I liked the spoof of X-men and Harry potter in the movie...but that's about it....the rest was ass..
