Batman, Black Canary, Aquaman and Green Arrow team up to stop the Music Meister, who has the power to control people with music, from taking over the world.
Batman and Black Canary are pitted against Music Meister, who is able to exert powerful mind control through song. When he hijacks a communications satallite, the entire world becomes subject to his musical bidding.
Airing: October 23

Apparently, it aired on Cartoon Network UK the other day.

What an ep. Approached the wrong way, the musical thing could be gimmicky and wholly annoying, but it's played really well here; mixed alongside some comedy. Well worth the hype surrounding it.

This episode was epic it was a nice tribute to the 60's Batman tv series . I love how Bats remained in character the whole episode as the Dark brooding caped crusader .

I'll have to watch it again, but there was one deadpan quip he had after Music Meister sang something, and it floored me. Sharp stuff.

Bats had a nice contrast to the musical performances that were going on. When he joined in, I almost lost it.

The animation, the songs and everything was top notch. I mean they also referred to Batusi and the shark repellent, how freaking cool is that?!

Not to mention they PROGRESSED Green Arrow and Black Canary! This show is a love letter to DC fans!

This episode is amazing. It's kinda cool seeing Clock King wearing a wife-beater shirt and bandana during "Batman Drives Us Bats". Incredible episode :awesome:

Looking back on it, does anyone think that one of the best gags was the upside down Antartica? Totally unrelated to any comic joke of reference, but it cracks me up every time I see it.

I haven't seen this episode yet on TV here in Canada (maybe this weekend?)

But I've downloaded the songs and I'm currently learning "Drives Us Bats" thanks to the written lyrics I've found (I'm also transferring a copy to my car)

Car windows wide open and you can bet I'll be singing my guts out :woot:

But does anyone have the lyrics to Death Trap? I'd like to learn that one too :yay:

Just saw the episode in Canada today on Teletoon.

Freakin' brilliant, I was enthralled by the music but the visuals were the topper, including the Music Meisters many costume changes to reflect the different styles of music :D

I did not like it at all. In general it was weak. I liked the musics and the rythm of it all. Music Meister was good & cool and Neil Patrick Harris was really, really good. But I regret the episode was so "light and fun". I think it was fun but it is not that great at all. Just TV food. I stopped watching some of the episodes anyway. I liked the overall tone of it, but the stories are often weak or silly. :(

I can't imagen how a darker Batman musical episode would be. Do we wanna see Batman as a lonely opera singer crying about his mom and dad? Ugh....

And that calls to mind batman singing in Justice League Unlimited...

But does anyone have the lyrics to Death Trap? I'd like to learn that one too :yay:

All of them are here. :)

=Death Trap=

gears grinding, ropes binding, coils winding for a super sap, death trap
pistons panging, clamps a clanging, springs spranging, it's the last laugh, death trap

(talking) - no encore for you this time, batman. and I'm afraid it's closing night for my little birdie too, a shame, we could have made such sweet music, but now the world awaits my final number and I shouldn't keep them

(bc) - acid steaming, blades gleaming, lasers beaming, final nightcap, death trap
(bc) - bones crushing, flesh mushing, gore gushing, it's a dirt nap, death trap, death trap, death traaaaap

(bm talking) - was the singing really necessary?

But of course Amazon.ca doesn't have it at all :(

Enjoyable Fun-filled episode. Gets a Solid 'A' from me.
Favorite song "Death Trap".
Neil Partick Harris and Grey Delisle did nice job singing.
I Order the soundtrack from AMAZON.

I'll say it again; If this episode doesn't get nominated for some sort of Emmy for Outstanding Animated Episode (or whatever it'd be called), just cancel the friggin' awards.

Why did everyone continue to keep singing even after Batman gave them the earplugs?
