I feel like this is a dumb question :csad: However, it's one I need an answer to, so I'm going to ask away! If I wanted to hardwire 3 computers in one house to the internet as opposed to using wireless, would I be able to connect two of the computers through the same base ethernet cord if I used a splitter and attached another cable?

To clarify:

The computer directly attached to the modem is downstairs. There is a second computer upstairs that has a cable through the ceiling that also directly wires into the modem. Rather than create another hole, is there a way to attach a third computer through the other upstairs computer?

I hope that makes sense. I'm about to move into this house soon, and the wireless internet connection is botchy due to too much electronic interference in the neighborhood. Thanks!

how far away is the 3rd computer from the 2nd computer?

Change the frequency channel on your wireless modem to something like 13 and it shouldn't wig out as much, same thing happened to me with interference
