At my job, the water we sell (bottles and gallons) have expiration dates on them; now maybe it's just me but I don't understand that. Exactly how can water expire? What, after that date it turns back into regular tap water?

Those 3 foot long gummi-snakes they sell at theme parks have no expiration date on them. They NEVER expire. They will be good to eat generations from now. :wow:

As for water, the expiration date just lets you know when the water won't be as delicious.

I want some gummi snacks (or snakes) now

I think it has to do with the plastic decaying and making the water toxic. The vast majority of bottled water is just tap actually. Anyone see that episode of ******** with the bottled water snobs?

A lot of bottled water is already tap water.

With any bottled liquid, there is a small amount of air in the bottle. Unless the air was injected in after bottleling from a purified source, there are microbes in it that just love living in water and reproducing. The longer it sits, the more there is a cghance that some bug is growing in it.

Its not the water its the plastic as someone else has said

I like when people by water bottles when they have water filtration systems at home. My parents always buy a box of water bottles at Costco yet they have two water filter systems at home..

What is gross is that some bottled water contains fecal coliforms like E-Coli:wow:

The USDA limits the amount per mL but they are allowed to be in there. So, drinking bottled water does not mean it is only H20...it probably contains some little goodies!

That is actually one of the reasons that they recommend that you don't reuse bottles. Unless you're washing your bottles regularly the microbes are building up.

I have a question. Do they sell any other kind of water besides drinking water in those gallon bottles?
