The Avengers Extra / Additional Scenes you would've Added in The Avengers?

If this movie's running time can be increased to 3 hours or so, here are the stuff that I'd like to see:

- More Hawkeye. I know that due to the mind control, his screentime was limited, but after BW broke him out of it I think they could've added a scene where he was talking to Fury & Hill, and catch up on things while he was gone. And maybe more scenes of him kicking butt in NYC.
- A brief scene of Loki using his power to teleport Thor to Midgard, although it is probably impossible due to the unavailability of Sir Anthony Hopkins.
- A quick action scene in the beginning showing the battle that BW and Hawkeye have had together, which we saw as a quick clip on Agent Coulson's computer.
- More Loki. I think it would be nice to see the God of Mischief imposing more of his chaos around. We got some in the movie but not enough imo. I do think his scenes with Thor are appropriate, though.
- Chitari. I think they may be cannon fodders but it would be nice to see them destroying modern-day military vehicles, to show how powerful they are. Also, the flying mechanical leviathans could've used some projectile weapons, not just causing destruction with their massive size.
- More Maria Hill and Agent Coulson! Enough said.

I would've loved some War Machine. You'd think Stark would ring him up before the NYC battle, I'm sure his ridiculous amount of guns would have helped.

Heh, yeah. At least a mention of why he wasn't around. If aliens are invading you'd think the other guy with super armor would be called in.

I hear there is a scene where Steve Rogers walks around New York, noticing how things have changed. Maybe even meets Stan Lee in the park.
Could also be other scenes with the rest of the cast in other ideas for the story that didn't add anything so they had to be cut. I hear the director's cut was 3 hrs long.

This didn't detract from the movie in any way, but I would have loved a scene between Thor and Tony Stark, where Stark tries to reason Thor away or something, a conversation between the scientist and the mythology/magic. It could have happened because of Loki's scepter thingy. Thor helping Stark figure it out, where it came from and what it does.
But I would have loved to see Stark try to wrap his head around magic and mythology and aliens. Plus I have heard Thor didn't connect with any Avenger members so much in the film.

But like I said, it didn't take away from the film in any way. It was so great, the best.

I wouldn't have minded Hawkeye having a scene with Cap where he's showing some kind of insubordination. This Hawkeye doesn't seem as much of an upstart and quite as outspoken as the traditional comic version who is always clashing with Cap.

He didn't have a problem telling a norse god, who was brother of the antagonist, to "stand in line" so there is a little 'edge' shown :D

I honestly just wanted a bit of Steve trying to adapt to the modern world. It didn't have to take too long, and I know a scene already exists of this, but it felt weird having Steve just kinda jump into all this. Considering the huge transition in his life, I expected to see him react to that.

Oh, and definitely something for Thor, and his arrival on Earth. A small scene before the fight in Germany featuring him and some otherworldly being, maybe even Odin, discussing Loki and the process of getting back to Earth would've been a tad better than just having Loki kinda talk about it.

Either way, this is the kind of movie whose imperfections don't really exist in what's there, but in what's not there. I loved what I saw and am definitely going back for fifths. :yay:

Pepper forgetting to even put on her cut off shorts.

I agree with those that have said Steve becoming more accumated to the modern world.
Also I would have liked some kind of scene of hawkeye 'making things right' to Fury and the team.
A scene where BW 'deals' with her showing weakness by being scared of The Hulk.

I ALSO WOULD HAVE LOVED A SCENE WITH STARK TRYING TO EXPLAIN THOR AND ASGARD NOT BEING MAGICAL AND TRYING TO FIND THE SCIENTIFIC ANSWER TO THEIR POWERS

-DOOM :doom:

Did they discuss how Thor got back to Earth after the events of his solo film? That's the only thing I took a slight issue with... you know, as a comic-nerd. :cwink:

LOKI HAD A THROW-AWAY LINE LIKE "HOW MUCH BLACK MAGIC DID FATHER HAVE TO USE TO GET YOU HERE?"

-DOOM :doom:

^ Ah right... I must've missed that line. Thanks Doom. :woot:

I would have liked a scene of Natasha sun bathing on the deck of the helicarrier.

I expected something along those lines (nothing too sleazy) with Stark being distracted/gawking at her.

Also wouldn't have mind seeing a Hulkbuster Iron Man vs Hulk fight too they could have easily put it right after the Thor vs Hulk one. maybe in the next one stark can use it against Thanos :)

The main thing missing from this movie is a resolution sequence featuring The Avengers. After this movie, the "Well, we're all going to go our seperate ways" montage just...sucked.

More Hawkeye would have been nice. 'stand in line' definitely made me smirk. Good stuff. Can't wait to see this again tomorrow.

I think Loki said "dark magic" but I guess they're the same thing.

Somebody (preferably Cap) saying "Avengers Assemble!"

A few more lines from Hulk

And they're literally the only two little things I would've added. Seriously, this movie was fantastic!

AND HAVE BANNER ASK HIM WHO HE WAS PLANNING ON USING THAT ARMOR FOR LOL

-DOOM :doom:

Would've liked to see more Hawkeye, perhaps scenes with Loki. Was it complete mind control, or was Barton fighting it? (as we find out later it's double, since Selvig built in a safety thing) Loki says Clint told him everything (when he talks to BW) would've liked to see it happen.

I would've liked a Star Trek-type scene which usually has Kirk, Spock and McCoy discussing options and strategies. We could've had something like this between Cap and Iron Man and maybe Thor or Fury. Or a scene similar to Independence Day where Jeff Goldblum gets the idea to take down the aliens using a computer virus. Just something where someone comes up with a novel idea to turn the odds in their favour.

Also, I wouldn't have minded if the nuclear missle wasn't something completely off the cuff but actually planned. Maybe they could decide they need to shove one of those up the Chitauri's portal and they might discuss who is the best person for the job, with Iron Man ultimately deciding he is best suited because of his armour, despite knowing it's a one-way trip.

I thought it would have been fun for Loki to throw in a Red Skull reference when he first meets Cap and Cap mentions the disagreement he had with someone in Germany. Would've been tickled to know the two crossed paths and perhaps thats where Loki could've heard about Cap.

**** SPOILERS ****

#7 - Explanation of each Member Post-Avengers

I would've liked to see the individual characters have their own Post-Avengers moment as Nick Fury and Maria Hill were narrating what is going to happen after the Avengers.

Scene Black Widow and Hawkeye:

Both are shown doing Black-Ops mission elsewhere, either separately or together.

Scene Thor:

Thor is seen back in Asgard looking as the guards escort Loki away. Thor then turns away, digs down deep in his armor and looks at a picture of Jane Foster whom he kept from the original Thor film.

Scene Captain America:

Steve Rogers is shown in a cemetery. He is looking down, his face is in sorrow as he stares on the tombstone. The tombstone reads "Peggy Carter" (If not, it can even read "James Buchanan" or maybe all of the Howling Commandos).

Scene Hulk:

Banner is shown in a convenience store, looking to buy more stretchy pants.

Scene Iron Man:

Scene ends with Stark and Pepper in the Stark Tower where the "A" for Avengers remain (the way it normally ended).

couldnt agree anymore that would of been pretty cool ...that end scene kinda depressed me cause i was like oh man the movies over lol
