Well i was kinda wrong about that, their should be some guidelines that should be followed, but nothing like some of the ridiculous laws we have today, their will be enforcers, but they wont be like the cops we have now.

So you envision a world without all the 'unneeded' luxuries where people are content not to have luxuries so they won't try to get them? You do realize that there would have to be a strict control on that society to ensure that no one had anything better than the next because as soon as one person got an extra luxury somehow, jealousy and violence would ensue? People will always find ways to rank themselves as far as who is better/has more. You'd have to go so far as to deconstruct the concept of beauty. An unusually good looking person could inspire total chaos in that society.

for instance i have a ps3, do i need it no i don't i can survive without it, i have food in my fridge, do i need that, yes, i do, food and water is necessary for survival.

the money thats wasted could be sued for better things, technological advancements, better schooling, maybe use it to fix places up, pay workers what they deserve.

The most fundamental drive of life is to thrive and survive, which translates to being the 'best' in order to produce the 'best' offspring and populate the species with the 'best' genes. 'Thriving' for humanity has evolved into material possessions/monetary success. 'Beauty' is just a visual display of superior genes (healthy, ideal traits). To be the 'best' is the genetic/instinctual purpose of life. The intelligent mind that has developed in parallel to this may disagree about the true purpose of life, but the drive is inborn.

sure we don't need those things but not everyone who gets a degree in a field of science wants to spend their life trying to cure cancer. They would rather use their knowledge to come out with drugs like steriods that would give you a six pack.
