What the hell? :whatever:

I don't understand your finding, elaborate, what am I looking at?

They are celebrities!!!And famous people have stores,products,books...

As their real identities have always been public knowledge the FF are able to run their own little corporation to deal with Reeds patents on his inventions and merchandising based on their names and so on (in the books they have even gone bankrupt a couple of times and Reed once bought the entire Baxter building from the FF's earnings. I think Ben has recently found out he is a millionaire in his own right several times over too).

So for them to repeat this idea in the films (and they alluded to this in the first film with Johnny's teasing Ben with that Thing toy) is a nice nod to how the FF have been done in the books.

I agree. Gives it a nice touch, and good for marketing the toys. The Thing toy in the 1st movie was great. Squeeze him and he says " It's Clobbering Time ".

Look at how much "American Chopper" crap you can buy. If the FF was real, there would be a huge market for stuff with their logo, etc.

I'm betting Johnny's running it.

The FF have been lending their names and likenesses to products goping back to FF#9 I think, when we find out there's an FF comic in their world, created by Lee & Kirby and sometimes based on their "real" adventures. It's become an even more prominent part of the FF landscape over the last 20 years or so.
This shot is a good omen, I think.

I still can't believe we're getting Doom, Silver Surfer, Galactus and Frankie Raye, for crying out loud...all in this sequel.
Even if it ends up being a "10" on the SuckoMeter, its still gonna be something to see.

If you look at the original comics the way stan and Jack wrote it was that they were writing a autobiography of the events.

so what is gamma *****ing about now that only makes sense to him and him alone?

I thought it was a manip by a fan, I gotta start visiting the main page more often.

I doubt Frankie is going to be a major character.

I dont understand what the problem is, they've always had their own merchandising so a store would be more than appropriate for the movie. I love in the new comics it shows their coorperation dealing with reeds patents and so on.

Should be a cool nod to comics.

Yes it totally makes sense. The FF are celebrities after all and they already had their own toyline in the first film. So having their store is the next logical step and its in the comics too so they can justify as well.:word:
