ANY decent Daredevil flick requires ninja. I don't know WTF the filmmakers were thinking.

I think that would bring in too much side story.

Elektra is kind of a ninja.

The ninja were there. You just couldn't see them. Because they're very stealthy.

Drop the word "Daredevil" from that sentence and it applies to every movie.

*LOL*

Good answer.

And I agree it was better off without, too much deep background for the first film. Elektra had all the ninjas you'll ever need.

A very interesting thought, however The Hand were in Elektra,I mean
are'nt they some kind of ninja.:daredevil

where were the ninjas!? daredevil was good how it was. i think it would have been bashed so much more if you see daredevil beating the crap out of people then a group of 10 ninja's just running around in black cloth outfits.

Stick was in early drafts of the film, but dropped.

I honestly don't think you could have had a good reason to put ninjas in there given the film itself.

Because ninjas weren't relavent to the plot. Not every Daredevil story contains ninjas. Hell, with the exception of ol' hornhead himself, very few do. Wilson Fisk doesn't tend to hire ninjas. He hires who's good for the job. That sometimes involves the Hand, but usually it's independant workers.

Yeah, the only time that DD really encounters ninjas is with Elektra and The Hand.

Here's a better one though:

Hellboy movie: WHERE WERE THE F**KING MONKEYS WITH GUNS?!!?

I think that Stiltman would be a great character if they actually wrote him in his place. He's not a master criminal. He's a grunt. A thug. An fancy safe craker for hire at best. Doesn't mean he's a bad character. Just means he's not a big one.

His gimmick is stupid and his character is generic. There a million different thug villains who would be more dangerous and interesting then Stilt-Man. At someone like Gladiator has motive for his crimes, Stilt-Man's motive is that he is an idiot. Plus he would look silly on the screen, because he looks silly in the comics.

Stilt Man's not an idiot. He may not think very practically, but his suit shows that he has a good deal of engineering skill. And his character isn't that generic. All you need is the proper writer to take him off the shelf, polish him up, and make him shine.

He's idiot because he could make more money legitimately than could through crime and it took 40 years worth of comics to discover that, that's what makes a lame character, at least other villains have a bloody motive, he is just a fool.

Well, there in lies your motive. He was always a smart guy, but could never hold down a job to save his life. A string of bad luck and crappy jobs led him to take up crime as a last resort, ending up becoming a safe cracker. He's not a bad character. It's just that no one is willing to take the time to even give him a chance.

Gladiator is the villian we need. To bad his character is to hard to put on screen.

Why would he make such impartical suit of armour that lead to the following defeats if he is such a clever guy:

http://daredevil.dreamhost.com/ttstilts.htm

The Stilt-man armour is completely impratical asnd boring he is just another amoured thug, but others have made suits that are a billion times better than his. At least Beetle's can fly and shoot laser beams.

So? Since when are powers what makes someone a good character? That's the kind of mentality that keeps anything interesting from happeing with Stilt Man. He'd be a good character if someone just tried.

How did this thread get from ninjas to stiltman lol? Anyway back on topic If the daredevil movie was to use the hand as the villain for the whole movie than ninjas should have been involved but if stick trained daredevil and then they went to the villain as Kingpin it might have been a change, unless the hand came back?

Good powers make you a formidable foe, how is Stilt-Man supposed to be interesting if he can't even pose a real threat to DD. Seriously Stilt-Man is an idiot for building such an impratical suit of amour, seriously his motive sucks, his powers are lame and his look is stupid.

Being a formidable foe doesn't make you a good character.

That's the kind of mentality that keeps him from becoming the character he has the potential to be. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him. All he needs is a good writer to come along, get inside his head, and figure out what makes him tick. How powerful an oponent he is or how good his suit looks has absolutely nothing to do with how good a character he is.
