Fantastic Four 2 Disc Extended Editon coming to DVD on June 5th 2007.

Wow, they are waiting until the last minute aren't they.....I'm sorry, but that sucks.....

Nice find. I've been waiting a long time to hear news on this.

The extras look great but they're only adding 5 minutes to the movie? Thats very disappointing. Theres a least 20 minutes of deleted scenes from that we know of.:( Even the Spider-man 2 extended cut (yes they're releasing one) has 8 minutes of extra stuff.:cmad:

I'm extremely disappointed.....

6 minutes extra film???? we know of almost 25 minutes of film not used...
All the extras are simply things found on their special formats sold by Wal-mart, Target and Best Buy.....

Way to go Fox, pretty much just one more way to make some money off the fans.......

Let me know if its worth it.....I won't be wasting my money again.........I bought the other versions, and I have the 17 minutes of deleted scenes......I'll pass on this one.....

I'm buying it!:ninja: But only because they sweetened the pot in terms of extra features. I was expecting a Daredevil Director's Cut type thing with loads of extra footage but helas....:csad:

Hopefully those extra 5 minutes will be really good 5 minutes.

Yeah, if I didn't have all the extra stuff already, I might consider it.....but I have all the extra things already.....and yes I was hoping for a Daredevil type thing as well................................oh well....par for the course as far as Fox.

I'm not so sure about that. I noticed that the deleted scenes we got before were not the key scenes from the script that were missing. I got the feeling at the time that they were holding back the better scenes and including ones that they knew they wouldn't use in the director's cut.

For example: Unless I'm remembering wrong, we never saw the scene toward the end with Johnny in the bar on any deleted scenes, right? But I'm pretty sure that I saw a still from that scene once, so I'm pretty sure they shot it.

. . . of course you could be right also and it will be nothing new.

The 17 minutes of deleted scenes??????????? you are talking about the measley deleted scenes we got on the first DVD.....

The restaurant scene with Sue and Victor....very much needed IMO...as was at least one of the Ben and Alicia scenes.....

Actually the only scene from the 17 minutes of deleted scenes we uploaded that was not neeeded was the elevator scene with Johnny.....

If some only bought the 1 dvd version and they have not seen the 17 minutes of the deleted scenes.....then BY ALL MEANS....they should buy this extended version, they will enjoy it.....

I have a feeling the scenes we get added are the Ben and Alicia scenes that many of us saw on the 17 minutes of deleted scenes we had r unning around here.......and I'm sorry, but thats not enough for me to buy the DVD...

If you haven't seen the extra 50 minute making of stuff....then by all means buy the DVD, it would be worth it just for that......unfortunately those of us that bought the Wal-mart version already have that.....but it was very interesting and enjoyable....

If the commentary is from Tim, I really don't want to hear his excuses for the first movie.....I got enough of that from Michael....

The only thing for the comic book fans that will be very interesting is the Kirby portion......but again, that could have been put on the first DVD....

I'm not sure that I've seen all of the deleted scenes that were released in some form or another, but I did see a lot online and on DVD's.

Three scenes off the top of my head that I know where filmed but I haven't seen (let me know if you've seen any of them):

1. Doom's speech prior to the flight.
2. Ben's birthday party
3. Johnny's bar scene

Were any of those included on any previous discs? If so, I haven't seen any of them (though I have seen still photos and or clips in trailers to confirm they exist).

no...

1. Elevator scene Johnny and girls...
2. Restaurant scene Sue and Victor...Victor tries to lure Sue away from the group....didn't work...
3. Scene where Sue watches Reed and Victor argument...
4. Limo scene with Victor and Johnny....Victor lures Johnny from the group......
5. 2 scenes with Alicia and Ben....washing scene kind of weird, but the other scene was excellent of Ben at the art gallery....

Scenes on TV spots not shown in the movie...

1). Ben goes through door in the apartment after Johnny....
2). Reed and Sue scene/Sue reading letters from people...."They want us to help them with their problems.....we can't even help ourselves"...

All of these scenes except maybe the elevator/Johnny scene, and Ben through the door are all VERY IMPORTANT scenes that we should see in the extended version, but with only 6 extra minutes.......looks like we won't....:cmad: :csad:

Only five minutes of additional stuff? Perhaps they'll take some stuff out from the actual movie like Doom's "Marco Polo" line and put in the good character scenes instead. Haha, probably not going to happen, but I'll buy it anyway. Does anyone know what the Jack Kirby feature consists of (has it appeared in the overseas release)?

Does anyone know where I could see all the deleted scenes from the first movie?

This is indeed great news. Tim said long time ago, more is not always better on an extended cut. You put back in all the Ben and Alecia footage that was deleated, that would be all you need. 5 or 6 minutes is plenty. No extended edition puts back ALL the deleated footage. 10 days before the release of the movie ? Excelent. :word:

A whole 6 minutes longer? I won't bother with this. This movie wasn't Spider-Man 2 (which I will get the 2.1 of) and much more was cut. 5 minutes is not enough for me to buy this.

I remember someone posting about how Fox did the 24 series DVD's and how they put all the deleted stuff in, and how Fox should do that for the F4 DVD.......

Hmmmm. .... all they need to do is put the Alicia/Ben stuff in and that will make it ok???????? are you kidding??????????????:whatever:

I have been waiting so long for this expecting them to put all these deleted scenes back in because wisely it would benefit the movie quite a bit, Damn! what a dissapointment. I just don't see how these people don't get the drift I thought they read these boards, there was so much complaining about this movie but most people on here agreed that by adding all these scenes would help make it a better movie and yet everybody at the studio ignores it. I just don't understand it, have they learned nothing from Daredevil?

From the deleted scenes I watched I believe these are close to the running times for each scene

Johnny elevator scene 50 sec.
Reed And Sue in closet scene 1min.
Doom/Sue dinner scene 2min. 40sec.
Reed/Doom discussion scene 1min. 16sec.
Ben/Alicia cleaning scene 3min.
Ben/Alicia party scene 1min. 27sec.
Car to pick up Ben scene 30sec.
Johnny/Doom limo scene 1min. 40sec.
Johnny bar scene 1min 43sec.

So I'm guessing it will just be the Ben and Alicia Stuff if this report is accurate.

Am I understanding the DVD description correctly.? It sounds to me like you will get a recut version of the movie, and the deleted scenes we didn't get in the US version as part of the bonus features?

Johnny elevator scene 50 sec.
Reed And Sue in closet scene 1min.
Doom/Sue dinner scene 2min. 40sec.
Reed/Doom discussion scene 1min. 16sec.
Ben/Alicia cleaning scene 3min.
Ben/Alicia party scene 1min. 27sec.
Car to pick up Ben scene 30sec.
Johnny/Doom limo scene 1min. 40sec.
Johnny bar scene 1min 43sec.

That Sounds about right those deleted scenes were not actually very long
