So perhaps "Doomsday" would be a more appropriate title for FF3.

20th Century Fox has confirmed to Superhero Hype! that the Fantastic Four sequel has a new name - Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. The movie was previously known as Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer. The second film, directed by Tim Story, is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2007.

I think the title is okay, and it shows that the third movie will bring Galactus...I can only hope

As to what he's rising from...uhmmm...dunno...seems that Surfer was always a tortured soul, until he got to earth. He HATED some of the things he had to do as a herald (Wasn’t he even a criminal to some species, and on trail?), unlike many who reveled in it, so maybe it's a "rise" from the dark brooding character of immense power, to the powerful being with the soul of Norrin Radd. Everybody wants these movies to deliver "more", and this title seems to indicate a more serious film.
