What are some quotes that really stood out to you from the various comic book films we've seen over the years?

Some of my personal favorites...

From Batman Returns:
Selina Kyle: "A kiss under the mistletoe. You know, mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it."
Bruce Wayne: "But a kiss can be even deadlier... if you mean it."
*long pause*
Selina Kyle: "Oh, my God. Does this mean we have to start fighting?"

From X2: X-Men United
Senator Kelly: "Mr. Stryker, do you really want to turn this into some kind of war?"
William Stryker: "I was pilotin' Black Ops missions in the jungles of North Vietnam while you were suckin' on your mama's tit at Woodstock, Kelly. Don't lecture me about war. This already is a war."

I dig when Blade says
"there is always some fool who think he can ice skate uphill backwards"

at 1st i was like huh?, but then you get it. There's always some fool who thinks he can do the impossible. like trying to run away from cops.
I use that line everytime i see some "jackass" clown trying to do something he has no business trying to do. i love it

Blade

Blade: M----- f-----, are you out of your damn mind!?!

X-Men

Magneto: Doesn't it ever wake you in the middle of the night? The feeling that someday they will pass that foolish law... and come for you and your children?
Professor Xavier: I feel a great swell of pity for the poor soul who comes to that school looking for trouble.

X2: X-Men United

Professor Xavier: Logan, my tolerance for your smoking in the mansion notwithstanding, continue smoking that in here and you'll spend the rest of your days under the belief that you're a six-year-old girl.
Logan: You'd do that?
Professor Xavier: I’ll have Jean braid your hair.

Pyro: So, they say you're the bad guy.
Magneto: Is that what they say?

There are simply too many to name, but a few immediatly come to mind

Superman Returns:"You wrote that the world doesnt need a saviour, but everyday I hear people crying for one."

Transformers: Optimus Prime":They are a young specie, they have much to learn, but I have seen goodness in them, freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

X2:"Remember all those bad mutants you hear about on the news? Am the worst one."

Hellboy : Abe"....touched you 5 seconds, laid three eggs
Hellboy : "Didnt even buy me a drink, hhhmmm."

Abe : "I'm not much of problem solver, three decades, i've only completed two sides, but I do know this, when there's trouble, all us freaks have is each other....."

Spiderman "....with great power, comes great responsibility, this is my gift, my curse, who am I? I'm SPIDERMAN."

Gordons closing speech in TDK is amazing as well.

There are countless more but they immediatly spring to mind.

Hellboy: "I'm not a very good shot, but this gun uses really big bullets."

----

Hannibal King: "You made a g**damn vampire...Pomeranian?"

----

Reed Richards: "You're right. I didn't. I stayed in and studied like a good little nerd. And fifteen years later, I'm one of the greatest minds of the 21st century. I'm engaged to the hottest girl on the planet. And the big jock who played football in high school, he standing right in front of me asking me for my help, and I say he's not going to get a damn thing, unless he does exactly what I say and starts treating me and my friends with some respect."

----

Lt. Berkowitz: "Then what the hell do you call 125 murders in five years!?"
Frank Castle: "Work in Progress..."

----

The Red Skull: Assassination isn't worth the trouble. It took me two years to find Sirhan. Three to find Oswald. The King job alone cost me over twenty million dollars. What do we get for our pains? Saints. Martyrs to the cause.

----

The Red Skull: Fifty years ago, you were Dr. Vaselli's ridiculous idea. You remain a clownish symbol that no one cares about.
Captain America: I care.
The Red Skull: You care? Then come to me, my brother. Let us see if this heart of yours is stronger than my hate.

----

Gus Gorman: "Listen, I know that you're a man of compassion and you have pity...and I don't wanna go to jail because they have robbers and rapists and rapists who rape robbers..."

----

Kitty: "Lex..."
Lex Luthor: "Uh huh?"
Kitty: "Are billions of people really gonna die?"
Lex: "Yes."

Amazing Spidey quote, Jamon. I second it!

Joker '89: Winged freak terrorizes.... Wait'll they get a load of me.

Bruce Wayne BB: People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy and I can't do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man I'm flesh and blood -- I can be ignored, I can be destroyed -- but as a symbol... as a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting.

The Crow: A whole jolly club full of jolly pirate nicknames.

Daredevil: I'm not the bad guy, kid.

Joker TDK (so many great ones to pick from): Wanna know how I got these scars? My father... was a drinker. And a fiend. And one NIght he goes off cARraziEr than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. Turns to me and he says "Why so serious?" Comes at me with the knife..."Why so serious?" He sticks the blade in my mouth. "Let’s put a smile on that face!" Annnnnnd... Why so serious?

Cool, yours are pretty damned good as well Eggy.

Ducard: "If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely."

Doc Ock: "Nothing will stand in my way. NOTHING!" Brilliant, brilliant...

Two-Face: "We tried to be decent men, in an indecent time! But we were wrong. The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased, unprejudiced, fair."

Batman: "You killed my parents."

Superman: "I'm always around."

Magneto: "There is not a free land. Not here, not anywhere."

General Zod: "You will bow down before me, Jor-El!"

Oh, there's plenty of quotes that I love...These are some of those.

Damn so many...

TWO-FACE: It's not about what I want, it's about what's fair! You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time! But you were wrong. The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.

Alfred's Burma story, one of my favorite scenes in TDK.

BATMAN: I'm not going to kill you. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me.
THUG: What are you?!
BATMAN: I'm Batman.

PETER: Am I not suppose to have what I want? What I need? What am I suppose to do?

PETER: Don't you see? I'm not an empty seed anymore. I'm different. Punch me I bleed.

Pretty much all the Heath and Jack Joker quotes.

TONY STARK: I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart, that it's right.

MARKO: We don't choose to be this.

Many quotes in SM2.

AUNT MAY: Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer for them. Scream their name. And to wait in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who told them to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us. Gives us stength. Keeps us honest. Makes us noble. Even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.

Batman: Admiring your handiwork?
Penguin: Touring the riot scene, observing the masses. You know, upstanding mayor stuff.
Batman: You're not the mayor.
Penguin: Things change.
Batman: What do you want?
Penguin: Ah, the direct approach. I admire that with a man in a mask... You don't really think you'll win do you?
Batman: Things change.

Eddie Brock: "It's Brock, sir...Edward Brock Jr. I come before you humbled...and humiliated...to ask you for one favor. I want you to kill Peter Parker."

----

Blade: "You're human..."
Kounen: "Barely, I'm a lawyer."

----

Michaelangelo: "Wise man say forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late Pizza."

----

Joker: "I had a vision of a world without Batman. The Mob ground out a little profit, and the police tried to shut them down one block at a time. And it was so...boring...I've had a change of heart. I don't want Mr. Reese spoiling anything, but why should I have all the fun? Let's give someone else a chance. If Coleman Reese...isn't dead in 60 minutes, then I blow up a hospital."

----

Banner: [In Spanish] "You're making me hungry...you wouldn't like me when I'm hungry..."
Goons: "???"
Banner: "Wait, that's not right..."

I think is Portugese.

Batman/Bruce Wayne [From Batman Begins Trailer]:They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge. [pause] Me.

Doc Ock: "Peter Parker...and the girlfriend"
Peter: "What do you want?"
*Ock grabs Peter by the neck with a tentacle and pulls him roughly across the cafe*
Doc Ock: "I want you to find your friend, Spider-Man. Tell him to meet me at the west side tower at 3 O'Clock"
Peter: "But I don't know where he is"
Doc Ock: "Find him, or I'll peel the flesh off her bones"
Peter: "If you lay one finger on her..."
Doc Ock: "You'll do what?"

Selina Kyle: "It's the so called normal guys who always let you down. Sickos never scare me. At least they're committed"

The Penguin: "You're just jealous because I'm a genuine freak, and you have to wear a mask"

"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight."
- The Dark Knight (2008)

"Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man."
- Spider-man (2002)

"Hell's Kitchen is my Neighborhood. I prowl the rooftops and alleyways at night, watching in darkness. Forever in darkness. A guardian devil."
- Dardevil (2003)

"I am everyone - no one. Everywhere - nowhere. Call me... Darkman."
- Darkman (1990)

That's just some for now.

S-M2: Aunt May: "Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer for them. Scream their name. And to wait in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who told them to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us. Gives us stength. Keeps us honest. Makes us noble. The Crow: "It can't rain all the time", "Heeerrrreee, Funboy", and more.

Scott Summers: "Not everyone heals as fast as you, Logan."

----

Dr. David Banner: "And what have I done to my son, Miss Ross? Nothing. I tried to improve on the limits in myself. Myself, not him. Can you understand? To improve on nature, MY nature, knowledge of one's self. It's the only path to the truth that gives men the power to go beyond God's boundaries."

It's "Some mother****ers are always tryin' to ice-skate uphill."
One of my true faves. I also love:
"We are the future, Charles, not them. They no longer matter."
"We can find a way to settle this." "You're so right; I'm thinking...humiliation."

I hated that damn mistletoe line with a passion!

Does anyone remember in Batman Forever, when Wayne is talking to Chase, retelling the experience falling in the cave and seeing the bat? I don't have the movie, and it's not on the net in anything remote.

"The figure in the dark was my destiny. I would use its image to strike terror in the hearts of those who did evil. I would ensure that what happened to me would never happen to anyone else again. I would have my revenge..."

"WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"...Here."
- Batman Begins (2005)

"Voila! In view, a humble Vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi-now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance-a vendetta, held as a votive. Not in vain, for the value and voracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoisse of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

I hated that damn mistletoe line with a passion!

Then you're wrong! :cmad::cmad::cmad:
But, seriously, that scene had more emotion to it than the entire four movies rolled into one.

"You cant give in. YOU CANT GIVE IN!!"

Seriously, I want to say that to anyone that says anything about quitting.
