They're just animals doing what animals do, not really monsters like the others in this thread.

Absolutely the Predator. The monster is so intriguing that even half-assed action flicks like Predator 2 and AVP are worth watching (despite the fact that AVP turns them into space quarterbacks and not the nimble athletes of the previous movies).

For me, the Predator is the most convincing alien Hollywood has ever created.

Love the Preds, though I voted Godzilla, second place goes to the Predators. Simply because I like goofy action over serious action.

Convincing?! Well, that's a different set of criteria. The most convincing other world life-form will probably be something depicted as a microscopic bacteria if you want to be practical about it.

But as for one of the most entertaing, yeah I can go along with that..definitely.

What's so impractical about vertabrate extraterrestrials?

Dont think so, Ive heard talks of Freddy v. Micheal Myers, but I don't think it got off the ground at all.
If they really wanna do a spin off they really need to do Freddy v. Jason v. Micheal v. Leatherface :)
You definately need freddy in any version u have,as hes the only talking one of the bunch..

Leatherface sucks, I hope he doesn't make it but the other three are badass. I think if all three make it into a movie Jason & Michael will end up fighting as Freddy would pitt them all against each other.

After reading the 3rd issue today, I really wish New Line wouldnt have jumped the gun with the once proposed, "Ash vs Jason vs Freddy" project. The comic itself is very entertaining.

I liked the film as well for what it was.

Actually, if the 1998 american remake was retitled as a remake of, oh let's say, "The Beast from 20,000 fathoms" instead of "Godzilla" I believe the film would have been better recieved. It would have worked better as that kind of remake, than that of Godzilla. Considering how different the american version of the Big G really was.

I think that's what Cloverfield might be, a reimagining of the 1998 Godzilla movie. I don't care if it's called Godzilla or not but you're right, it would receive better reviews if it had another name.

I can't decide on a favorite movie monster. I love far too many of them to pick a favorite.

A week ago, I would've been saying the same thing but after seeing the new Halloween movie, Michael Myers has become my favorite.

Bringing them all together in one movie would be the most difficult part. I would love to see Freddy get inside Michael Myer's mind. Freddy could morph into Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode & use her to either torment or manipulate Michael into doing his dirty work the same way he used Jason's mother against him.

I really don't want to see Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie. I'd like for them to stick with Scout Taylor Compton. She's young, she's hot, & she did a good job as Laurie Strode. I'd love to see her return in the role.

Myers is the best slasher character of all-time (though the remake looked terrible to me...didn't see it). But, when you think of Myers, Xenomorphs, Predators, Godzilla, Velociraptors, etc (I'll stop there for now). It gets too hard to choose just one for me.

I think that would be just one of the problems with a Jason vs Freddy vs Michael film after RZ's Halloween. Is the fact that audiences may be somewhat confused as to exactly what version of Michael should they expect? The apparently one-shot Rob Zombie Michael Myers? Or the original 1978 Myers? This essentially would happen with Jason Voorhees as well once the Friday remake hits too ....

Since this movie won't be happening anytime soon, I'd like for them to use Rob Zombie's version of Michael Myers. He's the biggest & strongest version yet. As for Jason Vorhees, I think they should get Kane Hodder back, his performance in Jason X kicked ass.

Btw, isn't Rob Zombie making another Halloween movie?

I havent heard anything about Rob returning...

I would be all for Kane reprising Jason in a "vs Freddy" movie. It's something that should have happened the first time to be perfectly honest.

Well, I recently read that Malcom McDowell has said he has the option of returning for two more sequels. I hope that Rob makes at least one more sequel, I'd hate for it to end so prematurely.

Yeah, the director of "Freddy vs Jason" was a real *****e for not hiring Kane Hodder for the role. The guy they did get was too slow. All in all, Hodder is the best Jason Vorhees out there.

They were man made monsters so I think they deserve to be put in here...same can be said for Jaws by your conclusion.

Agreed. Besides, anything that's over 25 ft tall can certainly be thought of as a monster.

But that hasn't been depicted in a Hollywood movie, nor is it in the poll. It's not even my criteria for liking the Pred most, I'm just saying it.

Now I love Predator but I had to go with my inner child.
My favorite will always be this guy=
