Favorite Presents you have recieved

Christmas Day of '06, I recieved the Rascal Flatts "Me and My Gang" album CD, and the 4-disc DVD edition of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

My last birthday a few months ago, I recieved $120 combined from my Mom and Grandma; I spent half of it on DVDs, and the rest was pocket change for the next 2 weeks or so.

But by far, I think my favorite present came from my Dad, 15 years ago. He left before I was born, and so I met him for the first time on my 12th birthday. He, my mother, and I all went to the local mall, just browsing around and playing arcade games. For a boy who'd never met his father, it was wonderful to finally feel like a real family. For that one day alone, I had both a mother and a father, and my lonliness disappeared. :)

I wish my Dad would contact me again (God knows I've tried to do the same), but for some reason he's been truly reclusive. :(

What have been the favorite presents you have had either this year, or in past years?

For my wives birthday earlier in the month, we flew a personal friend into town for 24 hours to spend time with her. She was absolutely shocked and loved it.

As for myself, I havent had anything like that, noone ever flew someone in. That being said, I think my iPod is the best one I have received.

Best Christmas Present: My senior year of high school, my parents bought me a set of Craftsman tools and tool box. Without a doubt, that's been the most useful present I've ever received. I've worked on my first car with it, on my current truck. I've put together furniture. I fixed a flat tire on a model's car (yes! . . . but no one famous). I built a fence. I've worked on my bicycle. And, there have been plenty other times I've used those tools over the last 13 or so years.

The best present I ever received was a Nintendo 64. My life changed that day.

Sega Master System. It was the NES rival. Im not the type to follow the popular crowd, so at a time when everyone was buying Nintendo, I saw a white box with the Sega logo on it and instantly remembered Zaxxon. Better graphics harder games. Ive been a Sega fan ever since.

There were plenty of great Christmas gifts when I was a kid the Superfriends' Hall of Justice, Hawkman (last of the original Superfriends' line I needed, but could never find), M.A.S.K.'s Thunder Mountain Gas Station thing, the Transformers city robot (forgot his name), recently nothing really stands out. Best birthday present was the original Nintendo for my 10th birthday, I was just like the kid in the commercial who got the N64.

A trip to Toronto to see Wicked. Alas, that was last year. All I got this was $200 and a cheap watch. Living by myself kind of sucks right now.

Ah man, Wicked was an incredible show....
I want to see it again

Right after Christmas '96, I didn't get the one big gift I wanted (asked and asked for it, still didn't get it). So I took my birthday money from that year, and the Christmas cash from my grandparents, went out and bought it myself....

And then you cried and cried when you realized the Super Nintendo was so much better, didn't you?

No way, Genesis was my glory days of gaming. I did eventually get an SNES though, upon playing Chrono Trigger at a friend's and realizing it would be my favorite game of all time.

I got a Genesis for my 8th grade graduation, I kept asking for it and my dad kept telling me it'd be a cold day in hell before they bought it. After I opened it, I asked my dad for a coat since it suddenly got very cold for a Saturday in June.

Oh my God, Chrono Trigger was ****ing awesome.

I got the Marvel and DC Encyclopedia's from my pen pal buddy in Oregon to make sure I have a better grasp on the characters. That way once I get a job as a comic book writer I won't have all of you *****ing about me not getting characters histories and continuties wrong. :oldrazz:

Got me a Baron Davis jersey from the golden state warriors.
