Favorite sequel (movie #2) for a superhero team movie?

X2. It's the only film on this list that surpassed the first installment.

It sure did. Though I think Ffrotss was better than ff.

X2 is clearly better than X1.
Rise of the Silver Surfer was a bit better than the first in some parts but it's still bad.
For me Age of Ultron and Vol.2 are pretty much on par with their predecessors,that's not bad considering how good and successful Avengers and Guardians were.

I think I'll wait until this weekend before voting, because I hope GotG 2 tops my list. But for now, I'll say X2.

My vote is X2. So far that's the only one that's been better than the first, although Guardians 2 and Age of Ultron are both very good as well

The thing about X2 is that,while it still is great,it didn't have to follow a massive critical/box office hit like GotG or Avengers. Those sequels had to face crazy overhype and expectations which were almost impossible to reach and put a lot of pressure on the studio/film-makers. I'm personally happy to have such good movies to enjoy. F4 of course is a whole another matter.

Got to think about it, Rise of the Silver Surfer is a guilty pleasure of mine. I mean it's bad and nowhere near the other Three movies but Johnny,Ben and Surfer are all pretty good,but Doom and 'Galactus' were a real shame and the movie was way too short.

I thought they did the Surfer pretty well. I just hated the board being the source of his power. Characterisation and look was pretty good though. But yeah Doom and Galactus were awful.

Yup that was dumb,although nerfing powerful characters is almost the norm. I loved how powerful they made Ego.

I get them nerfing his powers but they could have come up with something better than the board being his power imo. Agreed on Ego.

Oh that's for sure. I really hope Marvel gets to use SS and Galactus for their cosmic universe soon. The shot of Ego the Planet was awesome. I want an awesome-looking Galactus.

Yeah that Ego planet shot gave me goosebumps. Really hope Marvel can gets the rights back for SS and Galactus. We need to see them on the big screen in the MCU.

I am still holding out hope for a trilogy of Annihilation movies.
