Am I too good giving him benefit of the doubt?![]()
Yep.
There you go straight from the horses mouth

Yep.
The people have spoken.
Its amazing to me that the Donner films from the late 70's are still held in higher regard than the recent SR and MOS. I love Superman II by the way till this day.Pleasant surprise I thought. It's still the best Superman movie, IMO.
Me too. There's somethin special about the original.
It's interesting with those two as it was the first major comic book movie and the first couple of scenes are for setting up the villains of the sequel. They were basically doing the same Nick Fury cameo thing Iron Man did except for a self contained movie series rather than a wider open-ended one
The Joker said:Lex Luthor lets it down for me. Not a bad villain, but Stamp's Zod has it all over him. I also didn't care much for the spinning the world back in time bit either. I enjoy the Clark and Lois relationship a lot more in II. The action is generally better, too.
STM is still a classic though. It really started the CBM genre.
Well, I believe the original script when production started was meant for two movies so they knew what they were doing.
As someone who thinks X2 and Spider-man 2 are still the top Marvel movies, I'm happy to see X2 ranked so high.
Empire Magazine has also come up with a list for best sequels and had Aliens at #1. And why I love Aliens, Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back, even TDK I'd rank higher.
Maybe it's an English thing.
Readers of Empire also rated Benedict Cumberbatch the Sexiest Movie Star so I'd say they most definitely march to the beat of their own drummer and maybe a bit of it's an English thing.t:
What the hell makes X2 so good? Because everyone has a hard-on for Wolverine and he got even more screen time? Nightcrawler?
The question is, under different circumstances like a movie from MS was named best Marvel movie in that highly dubious list, would CyclopsWasRight have felt the urge to make a thread about that too?
It's just someone's opinionI felt like X-Men: First Class, Batman Begins and Iron Man 1 were all ranked too low.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier didn't even make the top 10 and X-Men 1 and Blade 2 weren't even mentioned at all. This list sucks.
Who cares on who makes the thread?
X2 is a great film anyway!
