The finale in the future with the Sentinels attacking the temple and Magneto, Storm, Bishop, and the rest holding on long enough to delay them for the past to change.
Need to see it again before voting but right now it's between Quicksilvers scene for the humour and excellent music and choerography and the openening battle for Ice Man and the sense of urgency
Torn between the opening battle and the future battle scene.
I like the opening battle because it was continuous. I like the future battle scene because it was more epic but it was too short. It also kept cutting back to the past scenes very abruptly before it had any chance to build any momentum.
Quicksilver was the funniest, but the end battle with future Sentinels was just thrilling in its desperation. I choose the latter, it's a more important part of the movie.
I think New Mutants vs Sentinels edges out final battle a little bit because of ice slides lol. But the final battle was super epic. But in some bits I hated how it cut back so quickly to the past. The future mutants didn't have enough time.
Great spectacle to open the film with the Sentinel drop pods, Ice slide, Blink, Colossus, Warpath, Sunspot, Bishop all doing their thing before being taken out and then the Kitty twist: "Too late ***holes". Brilliant.
Quicksilver. Keeping it real, for me, the only really great action scenes were his and Magneto dropping the stadium over the White House. The final fight with the sentinels wasn't too bad though. I don't think Singer does well with action.
Had a little trouble picking, ended up between the opening and final future battle scenes.
I feel like the opening was just perfectly paced and choreographed well. Introduced all those new characters and powers, Ice slide!, and the Sentinels being super scary. Also intro'd the way the time travel works. It was the perfect way to open the movie.
That said, the final battle still wins. I actually did like that it cut back to the past frequently. Strangely, that made the scenes seem shorter though. But regardless, it was epic and even more tense then the opening. The power displays by Storm, Magneto, and Blink were amazing. The deaths were also more tragic as it felt like this was the last time they'd get to try the time travel thing. I truly felt the stakes were high. Also, I feel like the setting was just way cooler, with the monastery and the snow.
Special mention to the Quicksilver scene which was insane and beautifully done.
