Days of Future Past Favourite moment in DOFP

[Nerial]

1) Cerebro scene. Even after refusing to take the serum, Charles still fails when he first tries to use Cerebro, and the emotions are heartbreaking. Even though I'm in the minority, I loved watching Wolverine try so hard to help him more than the scene with older Xavier (although I liked that part, too).

2) Quicksilver in the Pentagon. That character was just an awesome comedic relief.

3) Future/Past climax, with Raven holding the gun and the future Sentinels getting into the compound with older Xavier, Magneto, Kitty and Logan. The music is haunting and images are visually stunning.

4) Future Storm/Magneto kicking Sentinel butt. Again, great music.

5) Wolverine meets Beast and Charles. Gets beat up by Beast--gets cursed at by Charles. Just lovely.

Not to rain on the parade, but maybe we have seen enough of Magneto lifting massive objects now.

A submarine, the Golden Gate Bridge, the JFK Stadium. I think it's one of the Magneto hallmarks in this series (also, Superman lifted an island in Bryan's Superman Returns, and held a plane in the air in a similar fashion to Magneto holding the X-jet in X2).

The moment when you can see the Sentinel's face beams reflections in Kitty's eyes. Coupled with the music, wow.

I loved the Paris scene with the 70's Super 8 4:3 camera inclusions as it made it feel more realistic and gave the film a style and when Erik is dragging mystique along the ground with the bullet in her leg then ripping it out. Ouch!

I also liked the flashbacks to previous films with Logan seeing young Stryker and having flashbacks to Weapon X and Brian Cox 'I just saw someone who will bring me a lot of pain someday'.

As well as young Charles seeing Logan kill Jean 'You poor man, I don't want your suffering, I don't want your future!'

that part was sad

 

[Venus]

- The shot where Professor X's jet is flying over China above the mountains
- Mystique going through Trask's files in his office and finding Angel and Azazel's autopsies
- The camera going through the destroyed Empire State Building at the very beginning
- The Moscow battle
- Raven at the airport
