But the talent of Gary "They're completely incapacitated!" Oldman counts for everything too.

Christian 'I bought mine' Bale certainly had a chemistry with Gary 'Yours?!' Oldman that is right out of the comics.

Imaging Oldman and keaton in a Batmovie! that would be perfect.

Yeah, Gary "the Narrows is tearing itself to pieces" Oldman and Michael "most of the time" Keaton, the Batman-Gordon relationship and some flashbacks of Bruce training himself to be Batman would have made Batman 89 even more perfect. :word:

I''ve just been watching the special features on the Batman DVD, and there is an intresting interview with Pat 'I'm in charge here, not Carl Grissom' Hingle. He says that originally, Gordon was to be the first person on the scene at the death of Bruce's parents, the first person to comfort young Bruce. Bruce never realises who he is when they meet in later life, but Gordon does.

This is very similar to what happens in Begins, with Gary 'I couldn't find any mob bosses' Oldman comforting the young Bruce at GPHQ.

i actually picked hingle cuz i for one was never fond of the gordon character, and i HATED the mustache, so because hingle was not really in the films much, he gets my vote. i thought oldman could have been better as gordon, and he basically was a thinner, sillier looking version of hingle. he didnt do much, least not as much as the fans speak of. sure oldman had more screentime and talked to batman a little, but he didnt really do anything in begins worthy of mention. and god, driving the batmobile.......horrible. at least hingle didnt do THAT.

Yes, Gary "How are they gonna do that?!?!" Oldman is easily the best and most accurate interpretation of Jim Gordon yet. And we all know how big of a bad ass JG is in the comics.

Not Gary "what about the other half" Oldman. No sir.

My vote is for Gary Oldman

Pat Hingle was mainly an out of shape cop

Neil Hamilton was your "Holy Gee Willikers" type with Chief O'Hara as the only cop on that show.

Chief O'Hara was the stereotypical lazy Irish cop, lol.

O'Hara: "An umbrella with a message written on it...who could have commited such a heinous act?"
Gordon: "The Penguin, that pompous waddling master of foul foolery!"

I loved O'Hara's constant "Saints preserve us" lines.

Hamilton had a great line in the '66 movie, which was something like, "The sum of the four corners of that rectangle are too monstrous to contemplate."

Oldman owns all of them he actually did something (besides calling Batman for help .)

lol, yes! That line cracks me up everytime, and every scene with Commodore Scmidlapp. :woot:

This thread is kinda silly really Oldman was the only gordon with any depth so its certain most people will vote for him if hingle had more screentime i think he would have given oldmans portrayel more competition.
