The way I see it. Luke didn't read them because he was already closed off when he came to Acht-To and set on ending the Jedi. Why would he read the texts of a religion he no longer believed in and thought caused more bad than good?

Yep. I think Luke saw himself as just another relic.

Yoda didn't destroy the texts. At the end of the movie you can see that Rey has them stashed away in the Falcon. That's why he burned the tree down; he knew they weren't there.

Best scene for me, Luke finally arriving for the finale and facing Kylo. So many feels, and just amazing. I also was high on the Rey/Kylo/Snoke throne room sequence. Calls back to ROTJ, but does so many unique things with it. Brilliant.

I might be alone on this, But I adored the Scene of Chewie trying to eat the Porg. I liked even more the fact that you can clearly see its a poorly made plastic prop.

I had no clue it was a Porg he was eating until halfway through that scene. I thought they were just sad cuz Chewy wasnt giving them any of the food. That was hilarious.

I think that is part of the point of Luke having cut himself off from the Force. It explains why Yoda and Obi-Wan couldn't talk him out of his despair. He blocked everyone out... Both living and dead.

I mean they could've visited him before he tried to kill Ben Solo and warned him or something .
