Gordon: I'm sorry, Harvey.
Two-Face: No. No, you're not. Not yet.
Two-Face: *flips coin* You're a lucky man. *flips coin again* He's not.
Maroni: Who?
Two-Face: *fastens seatbelt* Your driver. *gunshot*
"Have you ever had to talk to the person you love most, wondering if you're going to listen to them die? You ever had to lie to that person? Tell them it's going to be all right, when you know it's not? Well, you're about to find out what that feels like. Then you'll be able to look me in the eyes and tell me you're sorry."
"You think I want to escape from this? There is no escape from this!"
"It's not about what I want. It's about what's FAIR! You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time! But you were wrong. The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair."
"Then why was I the only one who lost everything?"
"Tell your son it's going to be all right, Gordon. Lie. Like I lied."
The final confrontation between Batman, Gordon, & Two-Face is so powerful. You really see how far Dent has fallen & feel his rage & despair. It's both terrifying & heartbreaking.
