I thought we could talk about all the things that we worry about in Infinity War, just to be able to minimize the disappointment one could potentially experience when finally seeing the movie in theaters.

Too many characters
IW will feature many characters. I worry that this could mean that characters appear and disappear inorganically in the film, or that the movie becomes strangely "segmented" to be able to include certain characters. I personally want to see ALL the heroes on screen at the same time, in a big skirmish against Thanos and the Black Order. I would welcome the Defenders to be included as well, but they should be relegated to handle "easy targets" who wouldn't wipe the floor with them in 3 seconds (which any cosmic entity obviously can).

Accents all over the place
Lookin' at you, Cumberbatch.

Not enough running time
IW will be around 2h 30min, but what if it's still not enough?

Bad CGI
Disappointing visuals, especially if Thanos and his minions look bad. There could also be so much CGI going on that no character on screen is real at certain moments, making it look like a video game cutscene.

Misuse of villains
fans of the Black Order might worry that they don't look or act cool enough or are source-accurate enough. I don't read comics so I've never heard about them, but they seem like characters that should be honored as much as Hela's portrayal in Ragnarok (I never thought they would do the headdress)

Forced kiddie humor
Studio execs might want to "increase ticket sales" by shoe-horning in some GOTG2 or Ultron style jokes.

Misrepresentation of Spider-Man
Since Spidey will be wearing the Iron Spider suit, I worry that he will rely too much on Stark tech and not be enough Spidey. Luckily he is said to exhibit spidey sense in the IW trailer, but you never know. Here's hoping!

Cumberbatch? lol, Elizabeth Olsen is the main culprit.

Some of those are legitimate fears but I really wouldn't compare the Black Order to Hela, and if you do some research on them you'll easily understand why. :hehe:

None. Marvel Studios has established a sufficiently strong track record, that any concerns should be met with "But it almost certainly won't be an issue".

When I saw the titled I was actually worried.

But I'm not worried about the concerns mentioned in the OP.

Scared me for a sec there.

Your list is kinda all over the place.

First. Marvel has done The Avengers, The Avengers Age of Ultron, and Captain America Civil War. Three big budget ensemble movies that up the amount of characters each movie. They have yet to have a critical or financial failure in that regard. Even Age of Ultron its seemingly most decisive Avengers movie is certified fresh and made over a billion. Having a fear of too many chracters after constantly proving they can handle it seems like you'd rather ignore the evidence.

Second. I'm positive accents will be the absolute LEAST thing people would have reservations over since all the characters have already been introduced.

Third. The Russos said that the current cut is currently OVER 2h 30min. We don't actually know the run time. But it's clear they said it will be the longest Marvel movie.

Fourth. I don't know about this one. Maybe it may play a factor. To be honest
both Winter Soldier and Civil war didn't have the CGI that Infinity War will have to have. I kinda hope it doesn't go Xmen Apocalypse.

Fifth. Don't know what you want. They showed the models of the characters and they seemed pretty source accurate. Obviously with such a huge amount of characters I hope they don't waste time on The Black Order character development. Come in, throw some punches, and let Thanos do the talking.

Sixth. Based on the evidence the Russos have always found a great balance between humor and drama. They haven't given us a reason to worry yet.

And Seventh. You seemed to have answered your own question. Plus I'm thinking everyone could use an upgrade if going against cosmic threats.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have reservations, it just seems like your ignoring some things.

My only fear is bad time-travel-stories like in the Flash-Series...

It bothered me , but not as much as Cumberbatch. Personal pet peeve perhaps, but it really annoys me.

I know nothing aobut either, I was just thinking about visuals/demeanor really.

So you have no reservations then. Hopefully you won't be disappointed!

I'm not ignoring evidence, I'm just listing potential problems. I don't think it will be likely, but I feel that it's something that COULD go wrong. And for the record, I have absolutely no concerns that IW will flop critically.. I'm only talking about personal taste here. But againthis is not a huge concern for me because yeah Civil War was handled well in that regard.

Second. I'm positive accents will be the absolute LEAST thing people would have reservations over since all the characters have already been introduced.
Well sure, but I personally have a big problem with crappy accents. It's very distracting to me. Was cringing all the way thru Doctor Strange.

I honestly did not find Cumberbatch's accent distracting or hear him accidentally switching over like Olsen. She was as bad as Halle Berry in the first X-Men.

God she is the clear weak link in the MCU. HORRIBLE accent.

Her accent is pretty bad and distracting.

My only fear is that I won't live long enough to see it. A lot can happen until 2019.

My only reservation is the guys directing this one are coming off of somewhat more grounded MCU movies...that's also my draw though. I'm curious to see how they approach the cosmic elements.

The only thing I'm really worried about is whether they can create enough dramatic and emotional weight to the movie, something that MCU has a tendency to lack I think. This is serious stuff now, we don't need a quipfest but we do need heartbreak.

I'm worried that it ends up being like Captain America: Civil War.

There are a couple of elements that I would enjoy carrying over, but this is the chance to really change things up.

I have utmost faith that Marvel will provide a good, well-made film; but my main concern is that it won't please fans simply because it's been so hyped up for all this time and everyone has pre-determined wishes and expectations. Things have to be condensed and streamlined when adapting a comic into a movie, but I'm afraid that no matter how well-put-together the movie is, there will still be a lot of fans that will be mad because their favorite character didn't get to interact with their other favorite character, or that a certain plotpoint was cut out from the comic.
