The great thing for me, particularly, is that I love both Richard and Sam, so it's always a win for me with any of the choices.

You really think a guy called dick rider would work today? I mean this far from pornhub
"or bust". It was a juvenile joke.
But I'd love them to keep his name intact.t:
Not sure if the MCU will get around to it, but I've always been partial to the Nova character. And he's always been a character I wanted to see onscreen.
Now that Infinity War is in the books and done, here's my basic idea on how a Nova movie should start:
At the start of Infinity War, Thanos already has the Power Stone. He likely had to wreck Zandar and Nova Corp. HQ to get it. So that means Zandar and all the Nova Corp. HQ were massacred.
In the process, Nova Prime or someone should send out their special prototype Centurion helmet. It should be downloaded with all the knowledge of the universe/Nova Corp/World Mind to seek out a new wearer to carry on the legacy of the Nova Corp. Enter Richard Ryder (or Sam Alexander...).
But the movie basically opens in a flashback of Thanos and the Black Order just wrecking Nova Corp HQ. So that way we get another sequence with those characters and we get to see a pivotal moment in the MCU that takes place entirely offscreen beforehand.
I mean if they do a Nova movie, who wouldn't want to see that?
Its would certainly make the porn parodys very easy to make.
But who would be the best villain for a nova Corp movie? I would love to see the brood but its too early for that
But who could play the lead? All the best Latino actors I know are pushing their 30s now.
Its a shame that kid from coco couldnt do it but I just googled him and he looks too syrupy
Nova is a no brainer. Latinos are a huge ticket demographic and Black Panther shows there is a huge hunger for more diverse superheroes. That plus ties to the Guardians of the Galaxy? Easy money.
They have been batting 1000 with lesser-known actors, and not just Marvel. Hugh Jackman wasn't a 'name' actor, back when he got cast as Wolverine. Henry Cavill, for that matter, wasn't a huge deal before he put in the cape.An unknown, obviously. How many people had ever heard of Tom Holland before Civil War?
Indeed. After Wonder Woman and Black Panther, I've been wondering who between DC and Marvel was going to announce a superhero movie with a Latino or Asian lead. (Although I'd prefer a character who was always Latino, like the White Tiger or Vibe, to someone who is a legacy following up on a white dude, like the third Ghost Rider or the second Nova or the fifth Green Lantern or the third Blue Beetle, just to avoid the usual grumbling from both fans of the older versions, and from folk who would rather that 'their' hero not be somebody else's sloppy seconds.)
I'd probably piss off fans of both Rich and Sam by wanting some sort of unholy amalgam of the two characters, with the usual dash of MCU change-ups. (Tying the Nova powers to the Infinity Stone that Xander briefly held, and which, thanks to the Mind Stone empowering the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, already has precedent as a superpower origin source, could be one way to go, and explain why Xander didn't have a super-powered Nova Corps *before* the stone fell into their hands.)

There's literally hundreds and thousands of Latino actors world wide to pick from. They don't have to be well known. Who was Chris Hemsworth before Thor?
Would anyone be bothered if Richard Ryder was Xandarian instead of human? I love the character being human in the comics, but in the movies I think it would make sense if he was Xandarian.
