You really couldn't write this:

John Medica, director of the Louisiana Federal Property Assistance Agency in Baton Rouge, said he was unaware that Katrina victims still had a need for the household supplies.

"We didn't have anybody out there who told us they wanted it," Medica said.

Instead, 16 other states took the free items.

Kegel said she could not understand how Medica could not be aware of the need in the New Orleans area.

How come FEMA isn't getting criticized in the press is beyond me, but I guess the media has grown tired of Katrina and would rather report something else, even though FEMA's incompetence continues.

This, Blackwater, the 600,000 documents that PROVED the Bush lied and used propaganda to trick us into an illegal war with Iraq; Abu Ghraib, and the US' (or this administrations) support for torture, Bush's removing of the US from the UN Human rights council; Bush's destruction of Habeas Corpus for ALL US citizens; the "Patriot" act; Bush's desperate push for Iran (which is BLUEPRINT for what he said about Iraq); the democrats being a bunch of spineless *****es and not doing a DAMN thing...there is SO much that is not talked about.

There is no such thing as a "left" media. If there was they would have grilled the administration WAY more severely than it did to the build up of the inhumane war in Iraq. There are 5 corporations that are run by a few profiteers that would do anything for a buck...that's all we have for a media.
