FF DVD UK Vs US

Has anyone noticed the differences between the UK and US versions. There is the scene in the US version where Reed and Sue go to the Planetarium and the Uk has a different scene plus the other difference I noticed was at the end when they freeze Doom with the water. The UK version has Reed turn into a hose where the US doesnt. More than likely old news but i have only just seen the UK version as I had the US film (until I lost it).
So why are the movies different?

Not really sure.....I thought the planetarium scene was much better than the Liberty scene.....but since they are supposed to be based in New York, I guess they wanted a scene that gave them a more New York flavor for the US public....Reed does turn into a hose to divert the water in the US version, so I'm not sure where you are getting that...

Ahhh....cheers for that. Thats interesting as I got the DVD from an American website. So it seems I had the Hong Kong version instead.
