Cool! It's interesting that the Fantasticar is being featured so prominently. I guess they'll be using it to chase SS all over the globe. Maybe it will be the real star of the film.

Is that the first official promo pic? (forgive me, i've been out of the loop lately, 14 hour days at work :csad:)...because if it is, i LOVE it! :word:

It looks official to me.

Ya know I just thought of something, Remember when Tim said that the Shuttle's autopilot was going to be called HERBIE? I wonder if they may do that with an auto pilot on the Fantasticar?

Take-Two Secures Fantastic Four Licensing

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/437.html

One day after Sega secured the rights to Iron Man, Marvel Entertainment has abandoned Activision and sided with Take-Two Interactive for their next-gen partnership...at least as far as Fantastic Four is concerned.

The licensing for a company like Marvel is a big deal in the game industry, because it comes loaded with the potential for multiple titles featuring the likes of Spider-Man, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, and X-Men. And according to Marvel's executive vice president, David Maisel, Take-Two will be heading up the Fantastic Four sequel when the movie is released next year.

"That is a new [licensing] relationship for that game which will be released with the movie next year," said Maisel. "And that game is going on schedule, as well."

Activision had previously worked with developers Beenox, 7 Studios, and Torus Games on the original Fantastic Four game, but now, it seems they're passing up the rights to more superhero games. However, the publisher does retain the rights to Spider-Man and X-Men for now.

There were no details concerning which next-gen platforms the Fantastic Four sequel would appear on, but it's probably a safe bet that it'll be multiplatform. When an official announcement arises concerning more Fantastic Four info, we'll make sure to keep you updated.

Posted this in another thread but think its more at place here.
This is from marketing site La Office. Looks like Fox is targetting the same age groups and this indicates that the marketing will be as big if not bigger than the last one.

‘Fantastic Four: The Rise Of The Silver Surfer’ Promises New Wave of Mobile Marketing

silver1so6.jpg

Get ready for Summer 2007’s sequel to ‘The Fantastic Four.’ The new movie, with all our fav’s (including Jessica Alba), will feature Marvel hero The Silver Surfer, and will no doubt feature a whole new wave of mobile marketing tie-ins.

Last time out, the movie’s marketers created a special branded mobile game As. mob.tv put it:
"It's up to you to save the world from the nefarious Dr. Doom as the limb stretching Mr Fantastic, the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing, the super sexy Invisible Woman and the red hot Human Torch. Each character has their own signature powers and moves, as they complete their own unique challenges based on the plot of the movie. Featuring groundbreaking animation, never before seen on a mobile phone, this is not just the perfect movie tie-in, this is the best action adventure ever for your mobile. Flame on!"

As I talk about in BRANDING UNBOUND the book, look for Ben Grim screen graphics or even “It’s Clobbering Time” ringtones. But personally, I draw the line at anything that says, “Flame on!”

^ That's a mistake to releaes the book 2 months prior.

IMO, its a mistake to release it before the movie period. A very stupid mistake.

Last time, I think the script was leaked before the book, so the book wasn't a surprise. On here, much of the script was talked about before the movie as well. I don't think the book was the big problem. I think the script being leaked was the biggest problem. I was excited for the movie after the book. But honestly I kinda thought the book was better written than the script once I read the script a few months ago, I was surprised at what was cut and what was left. Just my opinion, but the book seemed stronger to me than the script.
