How much are you willing to pay for each individual ticket before you decide that enough is enough?

It depends on inflation. With the way things are right now, $10-12, which is what I usually end up paying on a weekend, seems fair. I get to watch a giant screen for two hours, sit in a nice, airconditioned area, in what is generally a comfortable setting. I don't think that's a bad deal at all. It's the food that is exorbitantly priced.

4 dollars on tuesdays and wait...hey, today is Tuesday..

The most I've ever paid was $9 each, and that was for midnight showings. My theater does have $4.50 prices for times between 4 & 6 PM, so that's my usual route, though.

10$ is the price over here...

its the food that kills my wallet... a filling popcorn and drink is about 15bucks..lol

that's why you should tape the snacks to your legs, and wear bulky clothing.

I'm paying $6.25 at my theater (which is all digital projection). The mountains of West Virginia may be pretty backwards, but Carmike Cinema at Morgantown Mall sure is a stellar bargain.

it's 12.50 on weekends for my two regal theaters. No more than 14 am I willing to pay.

I'd say, it's not the ticket prices, but the food prices.

As soon as movie tickets are $20, I'm out. Unless it's a huge movie for me (Watchmen, The Dark Knight, The Avengers, Toy Story 3, the final Harry Potter), I'd rather wait until the DVD hits, so I can:
A. Watch it multiple times.
B. Pause to take a piss.
C. Look at special features.

if it ever reached 20$ people would be buying bootlegs..lol

Agreed. It definitely depends on inflation, if the prices keep rising and my pay doesn't I will just be more careful which films I pick to see.

Or be lucky enough to have a gf that has a fairly large purse/bag to hide snacks and drinks in.:woot:

quite the gentleman....

on afirst date too... lol shove a large bag of buttery popcorn in her purse

Damn popcorn and/or a drink. Eat before or after the movie. Military ID and Student ID for the win.

tickets are 10 or so around here... but I always end up watching two movies for the price of one. its a ripoff otherwise imo

I pay about £7 for a ticket...... BUT! as i'm in a wheelchair i get to take a 'carer' in for free.... So technicly it's only £3:50.
