I thought Zodiac was brilliantly put together but the story fell flat for me. It baffles me that it got no nomination for cinematography.

Exactly, I think it deserved multiple oscars, like best Director and Cinematography, but it didn't even get a single ****ing nomination. :cmad:

Marketing and release date killed that film. I've seen almost every film from 2007 and it was somewhere between 1-3. Flipping that, The Lookout, and Into the Wild.

This was one of the most fantastic trailers I have ever had the privilege of watching on the big screen. Simply breathtaking. I honestly can't recall the last time my imagination went so nuts during a trailer.

This is now my most anticipated film. Fincher is aces.

i'd still rather this have been an adaptation of 'the confessions of max tivoli' with all the same cast and crew.

hell, from that preview, it even looks pretty much the same. granted, i've never read benjamin button (is it even a book?) so i don't know, maybe the stories are similar.

well, i'll be damned, benjamin button and max tivoli are both based on the same short story!

that just made my damn day! if this is an adaptation of that novel... well, i'll be there for sure.

is there an american trailer online yet? all i've seen is the foreign one.

and i'd highly recommend anyone here who likes to read (or even if you don't) and you're looking forward to this movie, go pick up a copy of 'the confessions of max tivoli' by andrew sean greer.

simply the best book i've ever read, and, based on what i've seen just today from this movie, it seems like this is a direct adaptation... god, i hope it is.

This trailer....blew my mind.

It looks fantastic. Fincher and Pitt..great team work from Se7en, to Fight Club..now this:)

Well I read the 'Great Gatsby' by Fitzgerald...the worst piece of literature IMO..but hopefully his short story or 'The Confessions of max tivoli' will be great.

I remember a lot of decent reaction in the audience after this trailer.

The sort of reaction where you can hear everyone peering over to the person sitting next to them saying, "Wow, that looks really interesting!"

It looks like a majestic film. Except for the Burton-esque music, it doesn't remind me of anything...Looks very unique.

If anything Tivoli is based off Benjamin Button. I believe Button was an original short story.

To me, the concept that this movie is running on could also have easily been made into a comedy.

Taking the concept seriously is an interesting approach. I'll keep an open mind :ninja:

Man this film looks good and I can't wait for it to come out.

I can't decide to read the book before I see the movie in December..
