I saw the trailer just now and this has me intrigued.

The cinemotography for this just looks out of this world amazing.

Read review, I hope Fincher & Co will improve the last act and complete it by its release date.

New spot aired during the Olympics last night...(didnt anyone else catch it?)
This is the only copy I could find, quality is awful. The spot itself is fantastic though.

I saw this tv spot last night. I have no knowledge of this film and it seemsed interesting that the guy's born a old man and as he gets older he gets younger.

Nice find green. even in poor quality there is some great looking new footage.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

benjamin-button_l.jpg

Soon we'll know what an 80-year-old Brad Pitt looks like. And an 8-year-old Pitt. And every age in between. In The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Pitt costars with Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton in a sweeping epic about a man born with a bizarre condition that causes him to age in reverse. Rather than cast different actors to portray Button at various ages, director David Fincher — who worked with Pitt on Se7en and Fight Club — employed cutting-edge motion-capture technology to enable Pitt to single-handedly play the character at each point in his curious life. ''A lot of people aren't going to realize it, but every aspect of every age portrayed on the screen is Brad's performance,'' says producer Kathleen Kennedy. ''It's extraordinary to see how he found the core of who Benjamin was, whatever age he's playing.'' 12/25

I hope Fincher isn't too stubborn to trim if the second is too draggy.

Pitt rocks, Fincher rocks, this story rocks, and the trailer rocks. I kinda have high hopes for this film.

This movie is gonna be this years No Country For Old Men.

I dont think it will do nearly as much business as ncfom. That film had crossover potential to the mainstream by the fact that the trailers showed a cool assassin going around killing folks. I cant see mainstream audiences embracing this film. Yeah, it has Brad Pitt, but so did Kalifornia, 12 Monkeys, and Fight Club and look at how all of them did at the box office.

Have you seen the trailer? I doubt you can find anybody, who has no interest in this film, even after watching its trailer.

if every movie that looked good based on its trailer made money, well... a lot more movies would make money.

I'm kind of upset about the date change. Now on Christmas Day I'll be debating between this and The Spirit. I'll probably end up seeing both. Not to mention Valkyrie the next day. This is definitely my top priority for Christmas Day.

I disagree with you :cwink:
Movies like 12 monkeys and Fight Club really are cult material and not easily accesible to an audience. Not saying that the general audience is dumb but there there is a small group of people who instantly can recognize the cinematic qualities of Fight Club.

The general audience still will enjoy a movie with exceptional performances ( No Country For Old Men , There WIll Be Blood) but it's something that they need to underdstand. In all fairness 12 monkeys and fight club weren't like that.

No one has seen THe Curious Case Of Benjamin Button but judging from the trailer alone i think this movie might have that accesibility that fight club didn't have.
It has a original story , Fincher is the one of few directors on earth who actually know how to use VFX to enhance the story and not to use it just for the sake of it .

It's not an original story since its based on F. Scott Fitzgerald. Unless you mean original like it's not really been done before on film.

Fincher you say...Im so there.

This film yells international success more then domestic. Fincher remember failed to captivate american audiences with his movie zodiac, which was a great movie

you don't judge a movie based on a 20min screening; Zodiac was one of the best film of 2007 and possibly best Fincher's film

I honestly think this one will be great as well, mark my words
