You know what, I think the chief was acting within her authority. One of the major aspects of her job is community outreach. If this was a Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade, would you care if a white fire fighter complained that they were offended? If she felt it was good publicity, then she was acting within her rights. I agree that it had more to do with her sexual orientation...but again, community outreach is a part of her job..so yeah.

Hopefully, people aren't exposing themselves at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade.

And I am SO SICK of people comparing "B" to "G". It's completely different.

Some things really should be kept private. I could care less what two consenting adults do in their own home. I do have some problems with overt public displays, even in heteros. I think it cheapens the sexual bond.

I do have a real problem with sexual harrassment. Those guys shouting the taunts need to step and look back at their own bad behavior. They are giving their orientation a bad name because now some people will think all gays are like that when they clearly aren't.
