Foods you'd like to try.

Hippopotamus Steak, Giraffe burgers.

I love Sushi. In fact I think I am going to buy some today for lunch, or even dinner, or even both Lunch and Dinner.

I've always thought that peacock would taste like a flavor explosion in my mouth..

Poutine. I'd make it myself, but fresh cheese curds are impossible to find in the US! I want to see what all the fuss is about.

Also, crawdads:

Deep fried candy bars (or pretty much any deep-fried confectionary, for that matter):

She looks shaved to me. Only way you'll get a totally un-stubbled armpit would be to have laser hair removal there.

Eggplant
Veal
Bison steak

Really? If I'd known you wanted to try eggplant, I woulda made you eggplant Parmesan long ago!

I've had a deep fried Oreo - it was amazing. As is deep fried turkey (I normally hate turkey, but it was delicious!). With real Philly cheesesteaks, you of course have to find the right place to go, but they are yummy. And the cheese whiz on them is surprisingly good.

I have a sudden craving for quail.

I only just recently crossed alligator off my list. That is some damn fine meat right there, especially when seasoned with Cajun spices . Also, I have nothing but pity for those who have never enjoyed quality bison or venison. Do yourselves a favor and try them - especially bison. It's leaps and bounds better than cow meat. And from what I understand, as far as red meats go, it's the healthier alternative.

For the last couple of weeks, I've really wanted to try pupusa. But there are no Salvadorian restaurants in Cincinnati, and my kitchen is currently being renovated so I can't make them myself. I have to stop looking at pictures of them. They're teasing me :csad:.

hmm... for all the things I'm allergic to-- violent allergies to 99% of fish & other seafood, eggs, tree nuts, and a moderate allergy to soy.. so many things I am not allowed to try, lest I fall out.. including birthday cake..

I've eaten alligator, jellyfish, horse (raw and cooked), live octopus, lamb brains, cow stomach, fish head soup, pig head, shrimp heads, cow cheeks, buffalo, deer, rabbit, pigeon, bullfrog, whale, tuna genitalia and pickled squid intestines (which was the worst).

Wow, sounds like the only thing you haven't tried eating is man.

I forgot to mention kangaroo, which I had in Australia.

Well, I've lived and travelled throughout Asia the last few years so that's where most of my culinary exploits come from. But I may actually be the least brave among my friends. I have friends who have eaten dog soup, seahorses, unborn duck fetuses, starfish, scorpions, roaches, silkworm larvae, fried tarantula and even bush rat.

My general rule is that I won't eat insects. And I'll try most meats, except dogs, cats, rats, monkeys and of course humans.
