PLEASE... PLEASE WB... PLEASE FIRE DIDIO'S SORRY BACKSIDE AND GET HIM OUT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT. How he could greenlight this nonsense is beyond me. Jim Lee may have come up with the idea but it was up to DiDio to approve it.

Jim ... it's friggin awful

Dan ... get out of the driver's seat - you are awful and some of the things you've green lit lately are the worst.... like Batman Incorporated.

I was just over on the comments section at SupermanHomepage and the concensus is pretty much what I figured: these changes are useless and stupid. I can totally get behind the recent competitive pricing changes and the day-and-date digital releasing of the books. But these needless changes of the uniforms is just ridiculous..for starters. Maybe if DC tried sinking ample quality into its lines and had editorial staff with an actual mind for intelligent continuity structuring that didn't require retconning and reboots every several years, then maybe DC wouldn't be painted into this corner of stupidity they're in.

But no, instead they'll just re-number everything to appeal to the collectible market to draw in outsiders who don't know any better (and that'll be a temporary boon like the early 1990's oversaturation period). Never mind that Action was to be the first title to break the millennium mark. Stuff like this makes me feel very justified in spending less money at the comic shops than I used to (and it's been getting less frequent, mind you). Not to mention the spate of late titles they were (not) releasing a couple of years back because of writer/artist overbooking.

The solution is completely simple. Let some teams with a feel for the character steer the ships and strengthen the individual lines, while releasing on a regular schedule instead of depending on annual events to anchor things. Too bad Superboy Prime couldn't work his mojo with one of those wall-punches so Didio could be removed from DC's continuity. As for the new Super-suit, I'll bet ten dollars it'll go hand-in-hand with what Snyder has planned for the movie...which should be amazing:dry:. I thought that the lameness of Superman Red/Blue or Parker's Spider-Armor would never be topped...but there goes that assumption.

+1 to this, man.
