Anyone know any sites online that might givesome information on Ordering foreign alcohol?

I really wanna try a bottle of Shochu, but I'm not sure were to start when buying it.

we have a few Asian markets, but I'm going to tel lyou the truth. They kinda creep me out. :wow:

Wow, seems the shochu isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. :up

On to hunting down Absinthe!

I think I got my two bottles of Absinthe from them.

I got wormwood too, but not sure where I got it from.

I thought Absinthe was illegal in the U.S.?

and what is wormwood?

I thought that may have changed...

I heard last week that it's now legal. Not wormwood but the Absinthe. :ninja:

Huh, that's interesting. Wonder when they changed that. Man, there's going to be hell to pay.

I know for a fact Marilyn Manson has been drinking it forever. So people have been ordering it illegally anyways.

Just glad I can do it now, with out the fear of getting arrested.

Any absinthe you can get into the US has the wormwood removed. That's why you still can't bring in absinthe if you bought it in Europe. They don't trust that you got the de-wormwoodified kind.

****, the customs officer let me get in with seven times the legal duty-free limit of beer, just because it wasn't absinthe. Maybe there's a huge absinthe-smuggling problem at the border these days, and he was just relieved all I brought was Guinness and some obscure Kentish ales.

Hmmm. Why is every other country so lenient about the Absinthe selling and not the U.S.

I bought some Absinthe off an Absinthe website once. It was ok, got here fine but it was pricey. It worked out better when i was back in England last and my uncle who owns a pub hooked me up with a better bottle for free.

We got through customs fine with that by the way. Hah, they only opened up one of our cases...

Did it have the wormwood in it?

Do you still have the link for the site?

My wormwood came in a bottle with a dropper so I can add it.
Of course I've been too chicken **** to try it. I did have Absinthe when I was in Prague this May. That **** sneaks up on you.
I've never had an issue with beer I've brought in from overseas, but I only bring in a bottle or two.

Yeah I'm pretty sure. One of my friends in ENgland said they ordered it off the site, so i did it and had it sent here, it was about four years ago. Let me see if I can find the website.

The one I smuggled back in a case definitely did, we just got lucky and they rushed us through and only checked one of our 3 cases.

So, if there is no wormwood i nthe absinthe, it's still alcoholic, right? How strong is absinther by it's self.

Yeah its still alcoholic, just has the wormwood in too.
