Forever Evil

You have to see it from our perspective. Some of us didn't read comics for one reason or the other, so the shows and cartoons were all we had. I didn't know Jack Kirby created the 4th world until I watched a feature on the Superman: TAS DVD.

And to us he was still very powerful and very epic, and very evil. In the end, it really comes down to writers and what they want to do with the characters.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

So with PoomPatrol getting whooped and TeenTitans getting whooped by Johnny Quick

i'm thinking Nightwing end up in a new TITANS team and maybe BeastBoy in a new DoomPatrol???

Yeah, that was a great page.

I liked Power Ring's brief moment of bliss too since I always felt sorry for the guy. Black Adam's backing of Sinestro I also found hilarious due to their similar philosophies. Deathstroke's moments were also quite awesome. The story may be slow in terms of how the narrative is unfolding but the characterizations have been on point.

When did Sinestro get those shoulder pads?

The last issue of Geoff Johns' run (issue 20 I think)

I've loved it so far. It's just starting to feel a little slow to me, but with that ending suddenly it feels like it's jumping into the final conflict, so that's exciting.

And yeah, Power Ring's moment and Deathstroke's plot was cool too.

It was glorious to see Batman try to take charge and make demands only to get set straight by Catwoman.

Johns still got it. The characterization in this book is simply incredible.

Yeah, Funever Evil shows Johns can still write some good stuff. I wish JL- Origins was as good though.

The red lightning on the last page makes me think Darkseid is definitely the villain hunting the Crime Syndicate

I was mixed on the first few issues but it's great now

That would actually make sense given the first issue of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

That's what everyone keeps saying. Especially with the "cracked sky" reveal. It makes sense in a lot of ways.

I'm more curious about "that thing that came to our Earth.", New 52 Anti-Monitor?

I've been thinking that for months now. Then when they showed the "red skies" in Earth 3 it made me believe it even more as does the Alexander Luthor implications with the hooded prisoner.

But it also made me think of Darkseid as well due to the "red skies" being something that precedes Apokaliptan invasions ala Final Crisis and being adopted into the New 52 via the Earth 2 title.

Seeing the bleed at the end of this issue though pretty much sealed it that it is indeed the reintroduction of the Anti-Monitor. I guess this will end up being the "first crisis" in the New 52.Then again it could still be Darkseid since he is indeed a multiversal threat now (again ala Final Crisis) as he should be.

I've never read the original Crisis, so I don't know about any hints or clues that might give regarding the identity of who is coming... but I feel like it HAS to be either Anti-Monitor or Darkseid. I'm hoping Anti-Monitor because I feel like there has been too much build up regarding Darkseid's return for an issue or two of an event that had nothing to do with him to adequately deal with.

I don't think it is Darkseid because he has already been to this Earth so it wouldnt be hard to find them again. Not to mention that Darkseid is putting majority of his power on finally conquering Earth 2. Has to be something else.

Darkseid isn't putting any power whatsoever on Earth-2,he hasn't been seen since the start of the New-52. His followers are fighting for him but he's not involved in any capacity.

I think this threat is Darkseid or someone from Apokolips unless Johns radically changed his mind,it was Darkseid who attacked various different Earths, this threat came to the Syndicates world via boom tube, red skies and lightnings are associated with Darkseid, the Outsider came during Darkseid invasion (barriers between the universes were broken by his own admission and he seems to know about mother boxes so boom tube is the most likely possibility),Johns recently said that we'd see Darkseid again soon. Anti-Monitor makes no sense to me.

Having some of his generals on E2 and unleashing Superman on them, I would say he is putting some power on E2. After failing to capture main Earth, he would probably send his Superman and other generals down there this time.

Awesome I hope Tomasi can do both characters justice,Batwoman messed up Bane and The Dark Knight sucked.
I almost barfed when I read how easly Batwoman captured Bane. It's almost like if they wanted to promote Batwoman as a high tier character by making her defeat Bane, but all they accomplish was making Bane low tier AGAIN! Luckly "Arkham War" is doing justice to Bane, even though his artwork is poorly done. The only thing I like in the Batwoman comics is their artwork on Bane. I don't know who the artist is.

On the flip side, the Batwoman writers did some of the best work with Killer Croc in years.
