Fortress of Solitude at a camp site? Nope I doubt it's for the FOS.

I'd like if lex and his resources would be building a ship from salvaged krypton tech, with funding from general swanwick ( because he still doesn't want a man being earths only defence ) cue superman intervening and removing the ship and hiding it, this would also be a way for lex and superman to come toe to toe for this weapon/ship.

You could have a Bruce Wayne/ batman sleuthing around and keeping tabs on the growing situation and have him come in as a wild card. I love batman but I strongly feel this needs to be supermans film. Keep batman as a detective in this story, he could even confront superman at the end of the movie, IN the fortress, where supes now resides. Cue batman offering his hand, showing his trust in superman. In this scene batman should be portrayed as the one helping superman for that classic batman arogance in himself.

If it were a solo Superman sequel I'd expect a Fortress, but I'm guessing BVS has enough locations to think about even without it.

In the graphic novel Superman Earth1, superman's space ship repaired itself by converting electricity into mater. Maybe they can use that route

I think burrowing it deep into an iceberg would serve the protection or to hide it

Found this image that kind of looks like what you are describing. Imagine the part where Supes is standing and those large rocks are the parts of the ship while the ice structure is made from parts of a glacier that superman molded into those crystal like things.

Right? I would love to see something like this in BVS. It may allow us to see Jor-El again and maybe Kryptonian technology and intelligence could be salvaged by Supes and used. A few solitary moments with him in the fortress may give us a nice look at how much he actually misses Krypton but still chose Earth when it came down to it, thereby making his decision to kill Zod and send the rest to the PZ so much more important.
