Fourth Pirates Movie Confirmed!

I would also like to see a sequel that takes place ten years later, involving Will, Liz, and their son.

Doubt they'll ever move into the modern world. It would take away the essence of the series.

Prequels touching on the first Brethren Court, Jack's dealings with Beckett/Jones, and being a captain of the Pearl before being mutinied upon. There's more, I'm sure.

Whatever happened to Zoe Saldana's character? Remember she was the black female crew member in Jack's ship in the first movie? They should bring her back.

They left it open, but I bet there wasn't a specific reason for it.
It was left open so the sense of adventure would seem to continue past the movie. So it would leave with it's head held high. So it would end with a positively and enthusiastically.

As for there actually being a 4, people do have to think about it. Why would Pirates just go on and on? Disney wouldn't do it. It's just like X4 and Spider-Man 4. They say that they are in consideration and will happen, but we all know that it more than likely won't happen.

I wouldn't count Disney out so easily. They've been looking for a new franchise for years and PotC is it. Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland has been changed in Pirate's Lair and Jack is invading the park more and more...but back to my point. Disney sees a strong property and a loyal audience to the material, their going to keep making sequels, with or without the regulars.

As I've said before Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley don't want any involvement in the next movies hence their storyline in the last chapter, but that leaves room for them to take Johnny Depp and Geoffery Rush, wherever they want to take them.

Even if Gore Verbiniski wants no part in the sequels after this one. Really doesn't matter. They set the tone with the last three films. It's just a matter of finding another director that's willing.

As for writers, Ted Elliot and Terry Russio haven't said anything about coming back or not, but they've already set the ground rules. They could come back and it would work or they couldn't. Just a matter of finding writers that stay true to the tone of the series.

I want to see more of Jacks father he seemed like an interesting character. It would be nice to see a sequel in which Jack and his Father team up to race to the fountain of Youth while trying to get the Black Pearl back.

Maybe Elizabeth and Will could be in it and it then it like leads up to how will jnr comes about.

Jack and Barbossa after the youth thing, with new characters maybe a female Captain of a ship as well.

And they mention Will and Liz, but there is no point of them in these films, they story is over in a way unless it is 10 years into the furutre.

Otherwise Barbossa and his Crew and Jack and his which is just Gibbs lol.
And new characters.
