free DVD ripper

It doesn't matter. It's still illegal to rip movies. Read the little FBI warning at the beginning and you'll see that even copying without the intent to sell is still a punishable offense.

lol, he's not reproducing or distributing it, he's transferring a movie he owns to his iPod.
The FBI have better things to do than crack down on some poor bugger trying to rip DVDs to his computer anyway... for himself.

Anyjoo, DVD Shrink and DVDecryptor have worked for me in the past for DVD ripping bnightwing, googlie those betches. As for converting them to iPod format, I dunno. Ask jaguarr.

I have minions that keep up with crappy Windows utilities. Ask black_dust and see if he can reference a utility that will compress to iPod on the Win side. Quicktime Pro will do it pretty easily and that's available on Windows, but I don't know a specific utility on Windows that's made just to do that.

Someone call

The only programms i have are either, one that rips an ISO file to be wacked onto dvd. (dvd decrypter 3.1, i found the newer version was really ****)

Or another that can make MPEG1, MPEG2, and AVI files from the dvd (Imtoo dvd ripper 2.0)

With the second one you can change pretty much anything resolution, frame rate and what not. Seeing as i dont own a Ipod i dont know what the setting are ment to be for these things.
