Im following the story aswell, Im in Essex/Chelmsford area. Looks like they might have a Copycat of the Original Ripper?

Is anyone really all that surprised, considering the vast ammount of info available?

I think there are a few big differences though. They haven't said yet how they were killed but they'd have mentioned something like being cut accross the throat, and so far they bodies have been found naked in the water not clothed on the land. Still, the fact that its hookers does point towards a ripper wannabe.

Wrong. Almost all SEXUALLY motivated serial killers are men. Black Widows, Angels of Mercy, Munchhausen By Proxy Killers are almost always women. Men kill for sex, women kill for money, revenge or attention. The Jack the Ripper murders are sexually motivated most likely, but that does not mean it is entirely impossible for a woman to have done it. No one EVER saw the murderer for certain, not one person. They saw men with the women who were close enough to the time of the murder that it is MOST LIKELY they did it. However, a deranged female who was killing prostitutes for revenge that her husband was given a disease or whatnot is not out of the realm of possibilty. No sexual tampering was discovered on the victims, and as most of them were drunk and/or ill a great deal of strength would not have been needed to take them down. You are making assumptions which are logical, but you are ignoring important deviations that while rare do occur.

The From Hel letter and evidence also says he was just plain crazy, as a kidney was removed and half of it was gone, apparently eaten by Jack.
He said it tasted "very nise".

Common misconception. The organs were removed but in no way was it surgically precise. Organs were hacked from the bodies, leaving stumps and connective tissue behind. Wounds were ragged. Slashes were random in some of the victims. Over time the story has been exaggerated to give it the precise sinister feel to it. I am an amateur ripperologist. I have been studying Jack the Ripper for years.

Besides, your facts here are incorrect.

Nichols = No Organs missing
Stride = No Organs missing
Chapman = Uterus missing
Eddowes = Uterus, kidney missing, facial mutilations
Kelly = Heart missing

Randomized slashing in the groin will dislodge organs. Why would Kelly, who had the most mutilation due to the private location of her murder, have her reproductive organs left in the room if they were what the Ripper was taking for some reason?

The sad thing for logical ripperologists is that the likelihood of the murders being unconnected is quite good. The murders all deviated from each other in key ways. One or two may have been connected, but in all probability, several murderers were at work. In that day and age people were murdered every day, and considering that these were drunken, desperate women who went into dark places with strange and seedy men, their deaths were not surprising. The Jack the Ripper persona was in part an invention of the media (only the From Hell letter considered by modern profilers to have the marks of authenticity to them) so it could be that there was no single man at all

But that is a sad possibility and disappoints those of us who enjoy the creepy mystery of a single madman

i still think that some medical knowledge had to of been necessary. while its true what you said about missing organs being hacked off...you also have to keep in mind, that it was done in the darkness of night in a matter of minutes. and, as its my understanding, the organs that were taken are quite hard to get to and would likely take someone with medical knowledge to be able to get to them and remove them in such a short period of time in such darkness. im also somewhat open to the idea of a butcher.

that is assuming that is what he was after. If he was just cutting, and tended to cut in the same place, then he would get the same organs. However since there was no attempt to take those same organs in Mary Kelly, who he had time to slice and dice, the obviousl conclusion is that was not what he was after

i dont buy it. you dont just accidentally take a uterus the first time, then a month later be like "well, i did it once before, so it shouldnt be that hard....success!". it doesnt happen like that. what he did took skill.

and, on this matter, i dont think its quite appropriate to compare the previous murders to mary kelly. in the previous ones, he did what he was capable of doing in the time and enviroment alotted to him (i.e. out in the open, working quickly in the dark). with mary kelly, he had total privacy and all the time in the world.

Feminists are marching on the museum in London because they say it glorifies violence against women.

The museum owner says it is in memory of the victims which is hilarious because the museum is like a poor man's London Dungeons with screaming women and gory wax works of murder scenes.
