Today at Walmart I picked up the first two movies in this series. So far I've only watched the first, going to parents place for dinner. Over all it was a decent movie. Very good atmospher.

I just got to know if people actually find it scary? I know I jumped once but over all I thought it was really cheesy. I'm looking forward to watching part two when I get back. Hoping it gets scaryer. (Scaryer? Is that even a word?)

its been a while since ive seen any of them , i liked the one with corey feldman the best , i was never scared during the movies with the exception of one thing that stuck with me , that was when jason is hiding under a bed and when the person is laying down he plunges the knife into them through the matress

that person...Kevin Bacon :o

The one with Feldman was...4....or 5.

Is that the same one where the girl has Telekenisis?

4 had Feldman, then his character (but not Feldman) was in 5 and 6...then telekenisis girl was in 7.

Wow, at least it got a little better in part 2. Deffinitly a little more creepy. But why did he look deformed? He drowned not mangaled.

Well I'll be picking up 3 and 4 tomorrow at work. I love the $5 bin.

yeah, he was born deformed...and he never actually drown, he survived and lived in the woods like an animal...he doesnt actually die until part 4.

The series is so dated and old school that no it ain't scary. But the reason I love it is because I grew up w/ these movies, there absolute classics. Horror movies now a days absolutly SUCK. Jason is simply a bad a$$ which makes the movies so enjoyable. Classic 80's horror/slasher.... Halloween and NoES are just the same.... Gotta love them, not because they're "scary" just because of the characters. As well on the note of movies being "scary", honestly do you find any movie truly scary. I've been so desensitized (sp?), that no movie could scare me now a days.

PS, If you like the movies, I'd recommend picking up the box set.

scarier

I'd say 1-3; and 6 are good

4, and 7 are alright

5 and Hell are crap

8 is one of those awesomely bad movie

I find the second one the best in the series. I also like Jason Goes to Hell *ducks from incoming tomatoes*

Well I work 11-8 so on lunch I'm going to dig through the bargin bin and see if I can find 3 & 4. Once I get this series done I'll probably try NoES

i liked the 1-8 versions of jason . his head looked too gobby in 9 , he looked better in 10 until he got regenerated and was too tall in fvs.j

he looked less evil in f vs. j and that was done intentionally , the director wanted him to be more sympathetic

The beginning and ending of that particular entry are great.

And Duke was certainly one of the more interesting characters to have come out of the Friday films. Not my fav, but it's better than Manhatten.

8 Jason was terrible...

Jason's best pre-dead look was Part 3
Post-dead look was part 7

/shrug I dont remember anyof his looks anymore. They changed it seems in every movie. From what I remember I liked his look in Pt3/4/jason X/FvJ...It was a shame they didnt use Hodder to play jason in FvJ,think there was political conflicts or something :)

God, I hated part 7. Gimme a break!!!

I love part 7 simply for the last 15 minutes .... Much praise should go to the special effects team and Hodder because when the mask comes off Jason looks incredible.
