The Observers erased Peter to try and stop Peter and Pholivia. There was never supposed to be a child between the universes. Olivia is obviously necessary, but Peter could be eliminated and still lead to the Observers' future (or an acceptable alternative).

Weig you messed up in one point Peter and pholvia are of the same universe. There is supposed to be a child between the universes
