Yes it's been established that she doesn't remember anything from jacksonville but she must of been atleast 8-10yrs old. She and Peter should have some memories from that time and with all the jogging of memory they've been getting they should remember something.

I loved everything in that episode, except the whole Peter and Olivia being in love when they were like 8 bit. Holy **** did that cheese me.

But I guess that was a product of the Walternate/Olivia scene rather than the scene being a product of the relationship.

"Being in love" may be a bit of a stretch...

They weren't in love, they just made quick friends.

And I could see both of them having repressed most of their memories. Why they're not coming back? Well, I could see Olivia having issues digging up the repressed memories after all she went through. I'm surprised Peter hasn't.

I didn't mean literally in love. Of all the things in this show that feel organic and real - including like 95% of the 'science' they pull out - the whole thing with them two felt really, really out of place and forced.

I can see where you're coming from SouLeSS. The Peter and Olivia relationship felt forced given what we saw on screen. I felt there was another layer of mystery that brought them together. Kind of like the music from Battlestar Galactica that brought the final five together.

Are the Observers still in all the episodes? I gave up and forgot to look for them because the whole Walternate, universe destruction thing is so darn interesting.

The whole universe destroying talk sometimes bugs me. The universe is a big place and for such technologically simple humans to have the capacity for its destruction seems far fetched, even for this show. Not to mention that in either dimension there aren't any other higher lifeforms to stop such a thing from happening is also absurd. We already know there are "aliens" in the form of the Observers, so why can't there be more.

I am pretty sure it was not humans that made the doomsday device. Humans just put it together reading those books & finding the pieces one by one & following instructions

The device was created by a race of humans that had evolved before the dinosaurs came into existance. They realized the power the device had and decided to spread it out into pieces. The Observers have not been identified as anything yet. They seem to be time keepers that insure that things go as they should, but I really do not think they are aliens.

As far as the repressed memories go, I think we will get those answers in time. This show tells things a bit different than most. It is far from linear and the writers tell us things when they want to. My theory is that Walter did something to all of the kids in his group when the experiment was halted to make them forget what he did. As far as Peter goes, remember his mother killed herself. We don't have the details, but that could have caused him to repress a lot of things. Or Walter eventually took his memories as well.

I really liked the episode. I never gave much thought to how Walternate figured out that Peter was in an alternate universe. This was a reall "Oh ****" moment to me. It just goes to show how well written the show is. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season turns out and hope it gets picked up for another season. It really deserves it.

There were really no romantic feelings between the two kids. More like a connection on another level. They were both in places they felt they didn't belong. Peter in another universe and Olivia stuck in a house where she faces constant terror.

They definitely need to explain more on how Walternate came to the conclusion of Peter being in another Universe besides from seeing Olivia disappear

Yeah I agree 100%.

I wonder how long after the events of this episode, did Olivia shoot her stepfather? They will certainly touch on that this season.

Cause she said "its just like you said the blimps were there like you said on the otherside" orsomething,to him.

Yeah, Jasika Nicole said in an interview that Alt-Astrid has Asperger's.

I thought something was ....off with alt-astrid

Its driving me mad that both peter nor olivia remember nothing of their past..gahhhhh

He figures it out because she tells him so.

Olivia: "My stepfather did this. He hits me. That's when I crossed over into the other universe. That's where I saw the blimps, just like you said. They were in the sky in the other universe."

Then she has a picture of her and Peter together. How could she know Peter if he wasn't in the other universe?

I am pretty sure that was our Walter she said that to. Because it was our Walter that made the threat to the Step Dad & Olivia #2 never was hit

No, she said it to the Walter sitting at the desk, which was Walternate. Then Walter said her name from behind, and she turned around to see him standing there wondering why she's crying.

Walternate was still wearing the white labcoat when he called his wife about knowing where Peter was.

Walter was still wearing the brown coat when he walked in on Olivia that he was when he threatened her dad.

She said sometime in season 2 that her stepdad broke her moms nose and drove off, so olivia ran off, grabbed his gun, and when he came back inshe shot and killedhim....

Hmmmm

Olivia #1 ended up telling Walternate. She was scared and transported to the other universe without realizing it. Walter knew what had happened when he saw the black eye. It's likely he didn't say anything for risk of interrupting the tests. But in the end he decides to warn the father.

Walternate now knows where Peter is because of what Olivia 1 told him before she teleported back.

No. She shot him twice, but he lived. He sends her a card every year on her B-Day. He is suppose to show up sometime this season.

The universe is a big place like you said so that could mean that any alien life might take a long time to find where this tear in the fabric of the universe is. The other theory I have is that the tear are localized to earth and any alien life wouldn't know about til way to late.
