one thing i wanna know.... why was the adult Olivia animation so different to the rest?

Girls are drawn differently than boys? :p

Ha ha...

what i meant was that adult Olivia looked as though they'd just 'painted' over Torv acting to camera rather than the look of the others....

Seeing Broyles on LSD was funny :lmao:

I thought thats what they did with all of them anyway? Ala Scanner Darkly or something?

i believe they did with a stand in for Nimoy... but the adult Olivia was more obviously just a painted over screenshot

I think it's just that the shadowing was different because that scene was during night time, whereas the rest were during the day.

That may have been part of it... but hopefully the screencap in the box above should show what i mean.... nimoy was okay... but olivia was too smooth...

"Professor Bell, why are you in a Charles Schwab ad?"

If anyone ever asks what does LSD do then just show them that gif

Well Olivia isn't an 80-yr-old man. Her face is going to be a little smoother. ;)

I agree the story wasn't advanced much by this episode, but Peter achieved a major breakthrough for both himself and Olivia by passing the smell test.

That is soooo not what LSD hallucinations look like, Lol I think it would be pretty much impossible to capture what real LSD hallucinations look like on screen. Fear and Loathing did a pretty damn good job though.

Holy ****....... I guess the machine's just not that into you, Peter. :awesome:

Is this show similar to X-Files? I just saw the pilot for the first time tonight and I got that X-Files vibe from it.

Better imo. This has a better narrative and less filler although there is a nice amount of filler

Mike, you owe it to yourself to watch the whole first season. It will hook you. There is a small X-Files vibe to it in the beginning, but it becomes something much better IMO. This is coming from a huge X-Files fan by the way.

Don't forget, this show was conceived by the same minds behind one of your favorite shows (some show about some island, I think :o). As someone else said, you owe it to yourself to watch Season 1 in its entirety. Although it has some monster-of-the-week stuff in the beginning, getting into the current story now will have you miss a TON of the serialized back-story of the show, just as jumping into the 3rd season of *that island show* would have done.

I just hope that Jackson's acting gets better. I wasn't feeling it during his scenes in the pilot.

I've just added season 1 to my netflix que!

Wow, did Peter do a cartwheel off of the scaffold?
