FOX should not have moved it to Friday night & if FOX cancels Fringe & Alcatraz gets renewed. Guess what show I won't be watching live next season ? The CW shows that I watch will take priority over FOX shows on that same time slot

What was the ratings drop between nights? As I recall there wasn't a big drop right after they made the switch...

Fringe's ratings stayed the same with the move to Friday.

In fact, moving it to Friday turned out to be a good decision. While those ratings were bad for Thursdays, they were decent for Friday night numbers.

Why do fans always have to act like entitled jerks? I was surprised when Fox renewed it last time (surprised but very glad as I love the show) since the numbers have been very low for quite some time. This show has lasted four seasons, it's not like Fox didn't give it a chance to shine. If genre fans always complain even when their shows have been given a fair shot then it just makes it less likely that TV execs will green light those kind of series.

I hope that Fringe gets another season but I'd settle for a quick cancellation now while there is still time to write a proper ending for the series. I hate not getting closure on series :(

One word: firefly. If ever there was a show killed by a network that was it. They just don't try and they male all the wrong moves. Fringe is in this position because they moved it to Friday and continued to make dumb mistakes as ending the first half of this season with an episode that wasn't intended to be the season finale then following that up with a protratcted break. Fox hasn't done this show any favors in two seasons. Renewing it for season 4 doesn't count because had they not moved it to Friday the ratings would have stayed higher and that renewal would have been an obvious choice and not something that needed to be debated. They've caused the low ratings. People DVR this show more due to it being Friday and those viewers dont count.

This is on Fox. Its their fault they are losing money and we the fans are once again treated to a truncated story with a 10 cent ending.

To be fair, Fox has treated Fringe much, much better than they treated Firefly.

For one thing.... they've actually aired it in order.

it's been 10 years. The Firefly argument is pretty old now. Especially since Fox has a whole list of shows since that they've treated worse.

And throwing Firefly out there is kinda pointless when a show has been on for four seasons, as opposed to firefly's 14 episodes.

Firefly is an extreme example I used but it does examplify what is wrong with fox. I'm not using it for comparison against fringe.

Furthermore letting a show go for 4 seasons gain a following bring in profit and then killing it is just as bad if not worse than what was done with firefly. It is just as ignorant in any case imo.

They haven't done a good thing for fringe in 2 seasons. Yeah, they renewed it for season four but I gave my reason why i don't view it as a favor. I see it more as a pity **** for the fans. Now we know it and are facing the reality. Fox is going to cancel this show before its time.

The only show they've treated worse than Firefly is Lone Star as far as I'm concerned.

Really didn't like how they ended the fall season with a non-cliffhanger story. I hope we get a season 5, but looks doubtful.

The upcoming episode was intended to be the fall season finale but it was pushed back due to dancing with the stars finale or one of those "reality" shows finales. The episode that ended up being the finale wasn't written to be that so it seems anticlimactic.

It was pushed back due to Baseball. If they want to cancel Fringe then that is up to them. But at least let the show have a respectful ending

That's my gripe. Shows that don't get a planned final season rarely get a respectful ending. If they want to end it at least give it a 13 episode 5th season to end it.

I'm calling it now ,the observers big bombshell that he tells Olivia in the promo is

that he(observer) is Peters and Olivia's son and he has been intervening this whole time to basically save his existence

Which Liv? be specific even though Peter's children usually don't last too long anyway

too bad nobody ever intervened on poor Henry's behalf he was used like a pawn then discarded. Or What if he IS Henry?

Only a mother would recognize a dead son that crossed over from an alternate reality

I'm so glad I have my DVR recording this series cause I had NO idea it was coming back tonight. But man this was one of the best eps of the series so far.

First of all, great episode! But [blackout]not my Olivia....[/blackout] :csad:

Second of all, **** Fox for delaying this. Big time. :o
