Future Bond Babe Casting!

You know, she's probably too old at this point, but I've always wanted to see this beauty as a Bond babe:

If not her, bring back Green or get Theron.

It would be THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH all over again.

I'm hoping they stick with casting competent actresses as Bond girls like Eva Green and not these pretty faces who think they should be looked at in the same light as Natalie Portman (Alba).

Agreed. Cast beautiful, capable unknown actresses.

Like Halle Berry,Diana Rigg and Ursala Andress?

Ursula Andress was a total unknown before Dr. No, and was still an unknown after, Diana Rigg was not a big star outside England and Halle Berry was the worst miscast in a Bond girl ever.

So yes, pick up unknown actresses.

Yeah, after the stunning acting performance Eva Green did in CR, let's cast Jessica Alba! THAT's a good idea! :whatever:

The girl's pretty, sure, but she can't act her way out of a bag. Please let's continue on the route CR established and get REAL actresses for the Bond girls, instead of just pretty faces.

James Cameron chose Jessica from hundreds of applicants to star in Dark Angel.

"I saw the spark of something - a strength and a healthy dose of 'tude that I was looking for in the character. She came in to read for me and I knew right away we had our girl."

"She's done some good work lately, but I haven't seen her do the role I know she has in her,the role that will blow everybody away."

IMDb.com, Earth's biggest movie database, has released their top 25 stars for 2006. These STARmeter™ rankings were not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance, but the actual search behavior of over 42 million users of IMDb.com. These results are an aggregate of weekly STARmeter rankings from IMDbPro.com, IMDb.com's professional subscription service designed specifically for people in the entertainment industry. IMDbPro.com (try a free, two-week trial) features contact information for over 59,000 names and more than 10,000 companies, international, domestic and daily box-office numbers, news from the Hollywood Reporter and much, much more. Take a look at the 2006 stars below:

3. Jessica Alba

(Last year: #6)
Like Rachel McAdams, she didn't appear in a single movie this year, but the Sin City star still set hearts afluttering when she hosted (and was a winner at) the MTV Movie Awards.

2. Angelina Jolie

(Last year: #2)
She confirmed her new coupledom, gave birth, continued her charity work, appeared in The Good Shepherd, started filming A Mighty Heart... does this woman ever slow down?!

1. Johnny Depp

(Last year: #1)
Yes, Mr. Depp is now the IMDb's favorite three years in a row, as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest became the year's top movie -- in just ten days; it's also number six on the all-time box office chart. Next year's sequel, At World's End, should keep Depp-heads happy for a long while as well. However, we're most excited about his latest Tim Burton project, the long-awaited adaptation of musical Sweeney Todd, currently set for a December 2007 release.

Jessica Alba isn't the best of actresses and she looks too young. She would not work with Craig. Jolie probably wouldn't do it... my choice is the hottie in my avvy.

Sorry!

I prefer James Cameron's opinion to yours, especially since he worked with her on "Dark Angel" for two years so he knows what she can do!!!

DALLAS, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- "Fantastic Four" heroine Jessica Alba and the swashbuckling Johnny Depp of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" are America's top choices for a fantasy New Year's date, according to a survey by Blockbuster Inc.
(NYSE:BBI - News, BBI.B - News).

Other top picks for a celebrity New Year's date included "Black Dahlia" starlet Scarlett Johansson and the debonair George Clooney of "Ocean's Twelve."

Whether you choose to believe them or not, most claim their interest in their fantasy date is purely platonic. Seventy percent say their choice for New Year's date is someone fun to hang out with, while only 15 percent said they selected someone they'd want to kiss at midnight.

An unexpected top choice for fantasy New Year's date was Sean Connery. The original James Bond hasn't lost his charm, as he was the runaway favorite among respondents 50+. Halle Berry was the definitive favorite among actresses chosen by respondents over 50.

James Cameron doesn't direct Bond movies? I didn't say she was a bad actress, just too young, and she looks young. She wouldn't mesh with Daniel Craig.

I was thinking more along the lines of her kicking his ass!

Alba couldn't kick her own ass with a mirror and a map of the area. Let alone Craig's. She has no acting talent and no screen presence. And she is too well known. Casting her would be the worst idea since casting Halle Berry as Jinx. There is nothing remotely Bondian about Alba.

...which translates to, "She gave me a magnificant bj during the audition". :o

Once again, we need more quality talents like Green was for Royale.

Alba just doesn't cut it as a leading lady and I think she's proven that with her most recent roles.

I thought it was great news when Green was announced especially after hearing the rumors of it being Thandie Newton.

Chances are there will be more than one Bond girl anyway. Like that Caterina Murino and Chiffre's girl as well.

I'd love Emily Mortimer to be a Bond girl. She's a very underrated actress and she's a gorgeous, beautiful woman. It'd be a nice apology after she played the love interest in that terrible Pink Panther remake.

I've mentioned this before but they should stick to casting non-American, relatively unknown actresses. I keep hearing people mention Jolie or Theron. Casting either those two would be a big mistake. Just like the producers of Fox's show '24' realised, when they rejected Jennifer Anistons request to be on the show, casting a popular face takes away from the reality of certain projects and i think the Bond movies should fall under that same standard.

Just look what happened when two popular US actresses were cast as Bond girls. Halle Berry in DAD, and Denise Richards in TWINE. Two of the worst Bond girls EVER; two of the worst Bond flicks in the franschise. The proof is in the pudding.

With Campbell rumored to come back i'm sure he'll deliver. His track record for casting is apparent with the casting of Izabella Scorupco in Goldeneye, and Eva Green in CR. The best Bond girls in the franchise.

I think TWINE was pretty good, but flawed, and Denise Richards was certainly its main flaw. I agree with most of what you said Gogol, let's cast unknown actresses for Bond girls, preferably not American. So they can be exotic too, as they should be.

Once again, EMILY MORTIMER.

Watch Dear Frankie or Young Adam sometime.

I agree with this. I don't understand the major hate on TWINE.

But just because of 2 bad american Bond Girls, I don't want American actresses totally cutout. I agree about the unknown actresses though.

Famke Janssen was great as a Bond Girl baddie.
Teri Hatcher and Kim Basinger were pretty good too in their roles.
I know some people didn't like her but I liked Tanya Roberts in A View To A Kill. Granted her Bond Girl was more a damsel, but it's not like she tainted James Bond's reputation like Berry and Richards did.

Tanya Roberts was pretty good imo.

Let's get a pic of EMILY MORTIMER, VileOne.

She's the girl from Scream 3.
She played the actress who was to play Sidney in 'Stab 3'

She is good quite looking I think, and she is an unknown, so that's a good point.

Just google her or something.

Or go to your local rental shop and get Young Adam, you won't be disappointed. Good stuff by Ewan Macgregor.

EMILY MORTIMER= nothing special imo. But to each his own.

Still one of the best Bond girls ever:
200px-Izabella_scorupco.jpg

I always kind of wanted Bridgette Wilson as a Bond girl.

I also think Kelly Hu would be good.

Kelly Hu is awesome!
Her fight with Jackman was the best part of X2, she would kick major ass in a JB movie.
