Despite all the *****ing i've been doing about FX ramming this show down our throats, i'm watching it now..and it shows potential......

I think I'd watch this show for Don alone, what a strange little character. I felt pretty bad for him and his cat too. :(

It wasn't bad. Not bad at all. I was prepared to hate it just because I was throughly sickened by the 1,137 ads that continuously ran while I made my way through the past season of Nip/Tuck.

The show had a bit more depth than I expected and it seems there may be some interesting developments down the line. I was actually kinda disappointed I didn't that endlessly played Peter Gabriel song they used to promote it.

Plus, Courtney looks pretty good. :o

I know, I thought for sure that would've been the theme song.

I thought the show was good for a premier, it is hard to judge first eps bc they have to set up an entire series. I liked the actors story the best and I hope they keep him around. There is someting weird between Lucy and Don, why does she put up with him? There are tons of other photographers who can do the same work, so why him?

I'll def watch again...

I had the exact OPPOSITE reaction. It was the Nip/Tuck promo's that were sucking me in, but I read some so-so to bad reviews this week and it kept me from watching.

Plus, I was hoping for more of "Courtney Cox coming out of a pool in a muddy bikini or less" instead of "Courtney Cox, harsh tabloid editor" :(

I watched it, and it was pretty good. Much better than I expected. I always give the pilot of a show a chance....and I give Dirt's pilot a 7/10.

Courtney and pretty much every other chick on the show was just smokin' hot, and Don has to be one of the greatest characters on TV.

And the show had PLENTY of good stuff, between the violence and nudity, so that's good. And from the looks of it, from the season's preview they showed before the end credits, this show looks to get very better, so I'm there next week!

CAH

Maybe it's just the perv in me, but I wanted to see Cox pull a Julian McMahon and show some skin in every other episode... but I guess that's not going to happen.

I read an article about how she'd bring their daughter to the set...?!?

I flicked here and there but with Nip/Tuck off, Boston Legal is my Tuesday show.

I'll catch the reruns on Sunday.

i liked to first ep i love that they made a character Schizophrenic i loved that stuff man especially the voices telllin him he had a lil dick and he was like "no im average"hahaha god know if said that in my past

this show is amazing... Don is the layer on the cake

This show surprised me.
I expected it to be an okay Nip/Tuck wannabe, but I really like it. Courtney Cox still looks good and she owns her role.
I'm a little upset I came into the show like 10 minutes late during the encore presentation but I'll catch it on Sunday.

I love F/x, all there shows are good and they get away with so much. Those were some hot sex scenes :D.

Don is what is going to keep making me watch the show. THe only thing i didnt like was the car crash at the end. It was done kind of lame.

But, know we have to suffer through endless "the riches" promos.

But I love the promos for "The Riches"!

"Getting to the top is easy if know the shortcuts. . . .I took a long-ass shortcut!"

Dirt isn't quite on Nip/Tuck's level as I've yet to see any characters who can balance out the depravity and narcissism of Cox's character. With Nip/Tuck, they always show some contrast between Christian and Sean's world and the real world. You see the effects of what they do on everyday people, whereas Dirt, for the moment, only deals with the people directly involved with the magazine. Even when it comes to showing the lives of the celebrities, the fact that they're celebrities puts the show at a disadvantage compared to Nip/Tuck, since the audience is gonna telegraph almost every twist and turn. Even without the promos covering the initial storylines, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to piece together the whole NBA/hooker setup.
Although it was a bit surprising to see him take it in the rear from the hooker wearing a strap-on!

And yeah, the actor crashing his car was just silly. Not to say that erratic driving under emotion duress doesn't happen, but this was just some overdramatic self-indulgence. And then to believe it gets spun into a story of heroism?!? Like there weren't witnesses who could attest to him driving at excessive speeds?! The fact that he was driving period with encourage suspicion as to what caused the accident first and foremost. Just about every story about a celebrity in a car accident starts with speculation as to whether or not that celebrity was at fault.

Nip/Tuck came at the right time when it comes to edgy television, and now Dirt is trying to one-up them and not doing a terribly good job. It's overcompensating in a lot of areas.

I think the actor driving the car into the barricade was a little over the top also, but we have to wait and see where they're taking his character...

I would have liked to see the actress that played the girl that got pregnant, then OD, last in the show a little longer as i've liked her ever since i saw her in A Knights Tale with Heath Ledger, but oh well...

Was it my imagination or was the magazine called Drrt? Is that supposed to be a catchy way of spelling Dirt or does it mean something?

Interesting. I didn't notice that.

Shannon Sassomon has been gettin' the shift lately. She had a no-name bit part in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and that's about it, lately. I miss her in movies.

So.. This is the reason The Shield was pushed back to the spring? Big ****ing disappointment.

Because she can't act for shiit.:o

This show sucks! It's trying way too hard to be edgy and failing. I love the Shield, Rescue Me and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but this show fell flat on it's face in my mind. Maybe make the characters less slezy, at least in the begininng or maybe more slezy, not sure, just thought it was trying too hard.

Courtney Cox's black eye makeup drives me nuts in this show. What a bad bad girl.
