G.I.Joe: Sienna Miller Cast as the Baroness

From what I've heard from leaks and script reviews from the latest draft is that Cobra Comander is muc hmore like an Emporor Palpatine type, which I'm ok with.

Sienna is a good actress but she's not Baroness. Possibly Scarlet but more so Covergirl and I for one don't need a Covergirl in this movie. She'll be a one and done performer meaning she won't do sequels. As far as this Brussels crap goes, I've seen other movies released in America that catered to Americans only to be taken over seas and marketed for overseas' consumption. Meaning GI Joe is an American team plain and simple...make it for us. Repackage it and send over seas as Global International whatever, but don't deprive us of our childhood memories. Anybody ever heard of Battle Convoy who was repackaged for America and named Optimus Prime and he was more heroic in American translation

Either they are using old, out of date information, or the information Hasbro released could've just been a way to smoke-screen fans and try to circumvent outrage.

For those wondering, Sienna Miller is 25 years old. She's British. She's a former model. She's most recently appeared in Stardust (same producer as GI JOE). Her other movies include Factory Girl, Layer Cake (same director as Stardust) and Alfie. She was also the female lead in TV series, Keen Eddie. She used to be engaged to Jude Law (before he cheated on her with his kids' nanny).

Baroness is also Eastern European FYI. I don't think her actual country of origin was ever pin-pointed, but I believe she came from a wealthy family.

Also, I wouldn't consider Baroness a female lead. If anyone would be that in GI JOE, I would say Scarlett. And Lady Jaye if she made it in. But if any girl makes it in, my guess would be Scarlett.

They had better dye that hair or get her fitted for a decent wig. I don't see the Baroness at all here. I also know nothing of her. What nationality is she? I can't imagine the Baroness with anything but the accent she had in the cartoon, or at the very least a British accent.

And I sincerely hope that Variety is behind on their plot synopsis. Otherwise someone at Hasbro and Paramount is full of it (given who's producing, this would not surprise me).

Is it possible Hasbro lied to the fans to get them to shut up, or was it Variety who got their facts wrong?

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe who plays 'Gretchen' on Prison Break should be Baroness.

Baroness isn't a hard role to play, a hundred actresses could play Baroness easily.

Sienna Miller wouldn't have been my first choice. I like Sienna Miller and everything, I'm just somewhat doubtful of the direction the movie is taking.

What is GI JOE at it's core? Comic book style American military kicking ass. I don't think Hollywood wants to make that kind of movie, even though all the anti-military, anti-government, anti-US, and anti-Iraq movies this year have all bombed.
