Go change things, I don't really mind, just as long as it's of the same level of quality as they have already put forth.

Agreed. I usually never have problems with changes, as long as they make sense to me. And the spirit of the story remains intact.

I had no idea the intro added new stuff I usually fast forward passed it. Though I really like the song and intro I usually want to get to the show right away. Free hbo this weekend on directv so I can watch the episode when it airs this week.

I had a question about the dad lannister. Why is he out in a field with a lot of tents? was that just from trying get his son back so he prepared his army? Or was he on a campaign in that area and just started planning an assault to save face for his families name when he heard about his son?

that....he may have no love for Tyrion but he's not going to let his family name be slighted and let other families think they can do the same

I'm rather curious as to how they're going to end the season.

I mean, are they really gonna go through with the [blackout]giving birth to a baby dragon and it dying then her burning Drogo, jumping into the fire with him and all the dragon eggs and her ending up hatching the eggs and becomming their mom[/blackout]?

Cause that would be ****ing awesome

Well, regardless of the specifics, I reckon the return of the dragons will be the last scene of episode 10 (with at most a sequel hook after that).

Ive had Directv for 2 years and never had a outage... until tonight... guess when.

do the other books pick up years later when the kids are older or what? is this based on one book and a season 2 will be another book?

Wow. I cant believe that actually happened. What a punch to the gut. Just wow.

Ah thats a *****. I can't believe next week is the finale. I hope next season gets 12 episodes instead of 10. Somethings could have breathed a little better this season.

There's set to be 7 books in the series.

Book 1 is season 1 as we mostly see it. It spans roughly a year total.
Book 2 is supposed to be season 2, and starts roughly half a year after the end of the first book. It lasts roughly a year as well
Books 3 and 4 happen at the same time, but are just the various POV of what's happening during this time. Pretty sure theres a year or so time skip between 2 and 3/4, and 3/4 as well are roughly a year.

I was kinda disappointed that they skipped the whole lannister/starks battle. We didnt even get to see how they captured Jaime. That was such a blatant "we didnt have the budget nor time to show you this" moment.

thanks for the info. i hope it makes it to the season needed to complete the saga, i really am liking it.

Which is going to be a problem for future seasons.

yea i was confused as to what happened there. we missed the battle and then they caught jaime. i had forgot he was even there. the world does seem like its sparsely populated.

Even though I knew it was coming, that was still a shocking ending.

Having a hard time with what happened. still in disbelief.....

Man that was a great episode. I'm heartbroken that [blackout]Ned Stark died[/blackout] though someone spoiled that for me before the season started. I didn't know how that was going to happen and it still sucks. What a [blackout]crappy way for such a great character to die. I hope every last Lannister not named Tyrion is dead by next week's credits.[/blackout]

What sucks most is I won't be able to watch the season finale for two weeks.

Watching the reactions to that are hilarious, I assumed as much. The season is not over yet, who knows who else might go right? LOL.

Something tells me Joeffrey won't have a very long reign...

The barbarians are fun to watch any time they interact with Tyrion.

man what an episode...exactly how i pictured it in the books.

Would anyone be upset if Joeffrey died before he did in the books ? I wouldn't & kill the mother while they are at it
