Ned's death was such a shock. I haven't read the books so I'm geniunely surprised. At the same time, I'm really excited for the next episode and season 2. When all is said and done, I want that little albino king DEAD. :cmad:

GRRM cares not what you or any of us want. Things happen in the fullness of the story, they don't happen to serve what we think of as TV justice or revenge on the next episode type of storytelling.

My friend told me his girl might not watch Game of Thrones anymore after last night's episode. She kept crying during the last scene with Ned, kept saying "It's not right."

It's a tough scene. It wass almost like I was re-living what I felt when I read it in the book.

That's what they all say...and they all come back (except for the weak minded and soft hearted). This isn't Law and Order SVU.

It doesn't have to be in the next episode. It could be a season or two down the line. And like I said, I haven't read the books so I don't really know what Martin cares or not cares about.

Finally got to watch the latest episode. I really enjoyed it and I loved how it went from the end to the closing credits very quietly. Add me to the list who want to see Joffrey dead. I dislike Cersei a little less since she just wanted Ned to be banished to the Night's Watch, though I expect her to revert to being a ruthless *****.

My favorite scene was when Maester Aemon told Snow about how he was torn during Robert's Rebellion.

I had liked Daenerys before this episode but it looks like she's going to cause some really bad things.

I've never seen a show/movie show graphic killings of horses before. First The Mountain decapitates his, then the witch cuts Drogo's horse's throat.

Don't ever expect normal story conventions at all with this thing. People die who don't deserve to, villains live on, stuff happens. You are just as likely to die getting robbed in his type of storytelling, completely naturalistic at times.

The Aemon thing was cool too. I wish he was holding his Maester's chain while giving the speech, would have drove the point home more I think. I've always thought of The Wall as purgatory in many ways. It's one of the moments that drove home their separation from the world of men.

Great episode, I knew what was coming so the shock factor wasn't there but it was still a great scene. I'll miss you Lord Eddard Stark...again.

If the Wall is purgatory then the seven kingdoms South must be Hell. It sure feels and the people sure act like devils. That's not to say that the lands North of the Wall are Heaven.

Anyway, I get your point about Maester Aemon and that was a great scene with him and Jon.

What I really liked is that he didn't tell Jon that he can't leave the Night's Watch since he took an oath and can't desert. It made it seem like he might have left during Robert's Rebellion and only didn't because he was so old at the time.

For those who hate Joffrey right now...

He definitely gets his just desserts later on down the road.

Jees maz. Just watched the latest episode.

Ned Stark aka MR. Bean :(. I was so happy to see him in something like this. It is his only leading role in a while Ive been interested in. It did bring for a big shock. Like if they killed Tony Soprano in the first season of the Sopranos.
Great tv.

I won't lie. I wanted to see Ned dethrone that little prick and become the reluctant king of the seven kingdoms.

but this ain't Lord of the Rings.

Unfortunately, I got accidentally spoiled beforehand, so it lessen the shock somehow, but I was still seething through the whole thing, esp. that little inbred Joffrey's smirk when he was ordering the

execution to Ned Stark.

Sigh, I still can't get over it, but the preview for ep. 10 promises some retribution and I hope for once GRRM will bring us some good news. At least Jaime is now a POW.

There should be a goosebump inducing moment next Sunday involving the Nightswatch. I absolutely loved what GRRM did at the end of the book concerning Jon Snow.
And it doesn't involve white walkers or wights

im just mad that noone will find out about the truth that Cersie/Jamie fathered children together.

Every time I see Ned's sword I get all excited like a kid. The damn thing is so f-ing huge! It's got a pretty decent story in itself throughout the course of events too.

Ah, you weren't paying close attention were you?

Robert has a brother Stannis that Ned sent that message to. Also it's kind of the dirty little secret that "everyone" (Littlefinger, Varys) knows.

Sean Bean Stabbed in Bar Brawl

Turns out, Sean Bean's hero image is the real deal.

The "Game of Thrones" and "Lord of the Rings" tough guy reportedly came to the aid of his famous glamour model companion after a fellow pub reveler made some untoward comments on her topless posing past. While Bean's white knighthood was obviously admirable, it also proved rather dangerous, as a melee ensued and the actor was ultimately stabbed outside the London pub.

So what, exactly, happened? And just how is Bean doing now?

According to the Daily Mail, the incident kicked off when the 52-year-old Bean and 22-year-old Playboy bunny April Summers (real name Nadia Foster) went outside Camden's Hill Bar and Brasserie to smoke. A passerby spotted the duo (or at least one half of the duo) and began making lewd comments, leading Bean to confront the big talker.

All was seemingly well until the stranger returned later on, at which point a scuffle broke out, and Bean was reportedly punched in the face, causing a bruise over his eye, and stabbed in the arm with broken glass. Despite his wounds, Bean refused any medical attention and opted not to go to a hospital.

Instead, the actor accepted a first aid kit from the bar staff, then ordered another drink.

Guess all those tough guy roles haven't been too much of a stretch, after all.

Btw, I hope Ned Stark would still be an impact later on, despite his absence.

A word to the wise....

Do not post videos with uncensored cursing in them...

Do not quote posts that post videos with uncensored cursing in them.

There's no honor in going to a hospital.

Also, after the scene with Ned and Varys, I wasn't sad to see Ned be executed. He was prepared to die and it's what he wanted. I'll still miss him though :csad:
