I know what Jaime loses, still doesn't excuse knowing what his sister's insides feel like!!!

Jaime's easily one of my favorite characters in the entire series of books, and Coster-Waldaeu's portrayal of him makes him even more so.

Yes, for the record, both before-Jaime and after-Jaime.

Watch the show or read the books, spoiling it on some website just robs yourself of the experience. Not to mention wiki quite frequently gets things wrong like timelines, character relationships, sequences of events. I have no doubt whoever wrote those wiki pages read the books, but did they really "get" what was going on underneath the surface story of a war?
I have the books, reading through 'em. I haven't went out of my way to spoil anything [or been on wiki pages], just saw that veiled comment here and ... argh, I blame myself.

Well considering the wiki of Ice and Fire was started by Ran at Westeros.org I think they're pretty accurate. He's actually collaborating with GRRM himself to do a kind of a encyclopedia book about Westeros. For those wanting more info about the books, Tower of the Hand is a great website that lets you enter in how far you've read in the books and doesn't post any information past your current reading. It's a great website. Winter-is-Coming is awesome as well but that site can get tons of spoilers posted before they can moderate them out so read at your own risk.

I'm so stinking pumped for this finale!

Eh. Saul Tigh basically ****ed one of his own daughters (though without his knowledge) and I still love that guy. :o

Still, we're talking about nailing your own sister not only knowing it's your sister but with the intent of having inbred children with her? That just ain't right!

not read books but is anyone else not liking Dany lately

I know what you mean. Her annoyance over the last two or three episodes came from her forgetting her place. Though Dany had power, she was not above the law of the people. Everything that happened to Drogo is a direct result of her getting in the way of the barbarians' customs.

Why does it have to be right?

Welcome to literature.

That makes no sense whatsoever, why does it have to be right? Ummmmm, to make us relate to the characters maybe? No sense whatsoever man smh

Every time I see Tywin I can't help but thinking "That's the dude from Last Action Hero!!!" lol He is badass though

Wait, what?!?! I don't remember that!!

The 7 common models of the cylons are the children of the original 5. They have the DNA of the 5 in them. So essentially Saul ****ed is daughter.

? Good literature does not require relating to characters. Understanding is not necessarily relating to.

I'm not a drunk who carouses and runs people over before leaving the scene of the crime, nor is it right, but I can understand the characters of Gatsby and Daisy in The Great Gatsby, for instance. It's called empathy, not sympathy.

As such, I can empathize with and understand the characters GRRM writes, which is even easier to do so given the quality of his writing.

not every character is intended to be "relatable"

again...welcome to literature

Its the same as with real history. You have to take everything in the context of its time and place. In the books the Targearyans (sp) were breeding sister to brother for 300+ years. In real life monarchies have married close relatives to each other to preserve a blood line. I'm not saying its right, but good writing has grey areas. You can't expect every character to not have some black spots on their record. Its just not realistic. This isn't Dungeons and Dragons with fare maidens and dashing heros. This is a cold ***** of a world with heros who do unspeakable things and enemies who do heroic things. Nothing is what it seems and nothing is black and white.

very good finale so now the dragons are back so does the **** get real very soon with this advantage on her side

Dany w/ dragon on her shoulder = new screensaver when hidef caps become available.

I thought the finale was excellent.
